  1. This teaching is unchristian. Christianity centers on kindness and patience, and pastors should not discourage people from these virtues. Instead, this teaching focuses on expecting rewards from others for being kind and patient—and then being disappointed when those rewards don’t come.

A true Christian should not fixate on people—their ingratitude or lack of appreciation—but rather on God. It is God who rewards kindness and patience, not people. So there is no need to complain when others fail to recognize or appreciate these qualities.

  2. I said no to what felt like ever increasing responsibilities in ministry, and it wasn’t received. The end result, I eventually withdrew. After many attempts to get leadership to respect my availability, time, and other responsibilities, I became exhausted and frustrated.

  3. I went through same. My small sister nearly became a dropout cos.nobody was ready to assist her finish her education when our father went down with stroke. At At 22yrs when I.had just school I took it upon myself to go to her aid.My salary was just a pittance but managed to get her through. After going through she went about saying it was through her own effort cos she had a gift scholarship that she was able to go through. I can't say it all but I give all to God who is the greatest judge
