  1. The latter is a Nature we must wrestle with every moment of every day. Imho. Without God's Grace we simply cannot walk in this flesh without sin. I pray I'm wrong and God refine me to that level, that I may dwell in the house of The Lord forever.

  2. I find myself agreeing with Spugeon on this. Even though there are great theologians and preachers that dispute this. Why is it wrong to acknowledge there are two natures in redeemed man? Jacob is the natural man, Israel is the spiritual man as I understand scripture. Jacob and Israel were/are the same individual. According to Isaiah 49:5, it is the purpose of Israel, the spiritual man, to return Jacob, the natural man, back to God. I take this as the ongoing process of sanctification after redemption. So, IF this is correct, it certainly seems fitting to say the Christian has two natures. At least that’s how I see it.

  3. Someone that say I don’t have sin in my nature, even as a Christian, knows very little about one self.

Because if we say that we have no sin, we lie, but if we confess our sins, then God forgives us.

How then man wait for the fully restoration of the body in the glorification if he is already perfect here, nay, man must battle throughout his entire life the sin in his flesh, for the heavens is taken by force

  4. This is totally false doctrine, even though the world believes it. The sin nature died with Christ. Rom 6:6. The reason you sin? Because you dont believe it. You dont believe the word of God. Therefore you still have a sin nature.

  5. It's okay if I disagree with this concept? the old man was co crucified with Christ, the new man is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Walking according to the old man is what people do when they don't understand the new birth and how we are to walk in that identity. The old is literally dead. But you can still walk as though it where perfectly alive. It takes faith to put on the new and to believe your old man is dead.

  6. YES, I THOROUGHLY AGREE BROTHER SPURGEON. I HAVE BEEN A TRUE ELECT CHRISTIAN BELIEVER, SINCE AUGUST 1970. I HAVE SEEN, IN MYSELF, THAT THE OLD NATURE IS IN FACT, NOT REMOVED. I CALL IT THE UNRESERRECTED SOUL. THANKFULLY, WE CAN AND MUST KEEP IT , BY OUR CHOICE, UNDER THE NEW RESERECTED SPIRIT. HOW DO WE RESIST SATANS TEMPTATIONS? BY SUBMITTING TO GOD, OF COURSE! SUBMIT THEREFORE TO GOD, RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM THEE. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD LIKE BEING ON GOD'S SIDE! THE PRACE OF CHRIST THAT PASSES ALL (HUMAN) UNDERSTANDING. KEEP SUBMITTING TO HIM! REMEMBER, ONLY WHAT GOD SAYS MATTERS AND HE MEANS WHAT HE SAYS HE MEANS! YOUR ARMS ARE TOO SHORT TO BOX WITH GOD AND YOUR LEGS TOO WEAK TO OUTRUN HIM!

  7. All believers have TWO NATURES- the spirit and the flesh. As Jesus explains to Nicodemus- “that which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6). The moment you trust Jesus Christ ALONE as your Savior, you are “sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance” (Ephesians 1:13-14). You are “born again” (John 3:7), but it is a spiritual birth into the family of God. As Paul explains, “you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:26).

This new birth is of “incorruptible seed” (1 Peter 1:23) and “cannot sin” (1John 3:9).

You are, then, forever a child of God. He will “never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). You will never be “cast out” (John 6:2). Furthermore, to those who have trusted Him as Savior, Jesus says “no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand” (John 9:31). This would include YOU yourself. In other words, you can't lose your salvation once you have it. Remember, it’s “by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2: 8-9).

Anyway, nothing imperfect can enter into heaven, which is why “flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 15:50). Here, Paul continues by explaining that “nor does corruption inherit incorruption.” Thankfully, as we remember, our new birth is of “incorruptible seed” (1 Peter 1:23).

Your new birth (your spiritual nature), then, is forever perfect. You are eternally secure (going to heaven no matter what)  because there are now no sins to pay for. (You can't KNOW you're going to heaven until you know you CAN’T go to hell). Why can't you go to hell once you've trusted Christ as Savior? Simple, because… Christ Paid For My Sins (ALL of them- past, present, and future).

So yeah, let's choose to walk “in spirit and truth” (John 4:24), and not give the flesh the attention it seeks.

So, WHEN you happen to sin (and we ALL do as long as we're on this earth), because “if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” (1 John 1:8)…just know you were walking in the flesh instead of the Spirit. Remember, if we pretend like “we have not sinned, we make Him a liar” (1 John 1:10).

When you sin, then, that doesn't mean you're now going to hell (remember, your new birth is spiritual and CANNOT be revoked). It just means you were focusing on temporal things instead of eternal things.

This is the power of your new identity in Christ: you are forever a child of God (and so going to heaven).  Let's live our lives like we actually believe it. Let's have boldness and joy in proclaiming this Good News! Let's not let our “minds be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).

After all, the one, true Gospel IS simple, and here it is: CHRIST PAID FOR MY SINS (past, present, and future). The very moment you believe/accept that he paid for YOURS, you can be SURE that you're going to heaven. Meditate on that, and it becomes easier to walk in the Spirit instead of the flesh. Take care friends.

  8. СЛАВА ГОСПОДУ БОГУ ХРИСТУ ИИСУСУ ДУХУ СВЯТОМУ ВЕЧНАЯ АМИНЬ АЛЛИЛУЙИЯ 🙏🌾🕊🌹
We are holy by Christ holiness and we are righteous by Christ righteousness

  9. We don't have two natures. Our old man died with Jesus on the cross. We still have a body of flesh which is to be kept on the cross by our spirit. May seem to be a minor point but it is an important point. Reckon yourself to be dead to sin but alive to God.

  10. I disagree
When Christ died I died with him I.e my old sinful nature died with him , also in him I was circumcised not by hands but by spirit . The life I live now I live by faith of the son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.
The sin that I experience now is not the nature (producer )
It's the Self life that I need to unlearn

  11. Uh no. A believer does not have “two natures” in the same way that Christ has two natures. We are new creatures in Christ who struggle with the remnants of indwelling sin, but we are not ontologically complex the way that Jesus is. “”We have been crucified with Christ” – so the old man is dead and dying.

  12. Yes, this is exactly what Paul said. Romans 3-8 is excellent text that requires deep study to understand. Once understood, our relationship with Jesus improves a lot. We have split personalities but must run the race for Jesus.

  13. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body?❤

  14. That is the whole Crux of the freedom of choice. God had to give it to us so that we would choose to follow Him. Because that freedom is love that God has shown to us. That's why whenever someone forces forces you to do something, be very careful because that is not of God. God does not want to strip you of your freedom of choice. He had to set the system up so that it could exist. Yet there is one individual who wanted to be worshiped and wanted to force humanity to worship them to get high on their own s*** but God said no I'm not doing that.

  15. In out heart there’s a sinful nature but when we genuinely come to Jesus he come to live in us now we have his nature and the sinful nature has gone now why sometimes we have bad thoughts and we sin it’s cuz now we don’t sin with our heart anymore but with our soul which never repent and we with the help of the Holy Spirit submit our soul to Jesus and tell our our soul like David said “bless the lord all my soul “
