To be completely possessed by God we must engage in a life–and—death struggle. ONLY when our OLD SELVES have been CRUCIFIED can the RESURRECTED LIFE of CHRIST reign supreme. NOW the HOLY SPIRIT mounts a change into our every corner to do BATTLE for our RECLAMATION! No way! Charles Finney was a heretic! He believed in Pelagianism. And that was declared a heresy people who don't know their Bible or church history are going to repeat his error
Godly sorrow is realizing that you are a sinner in need of a savior.
Nothing more nothing less.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
💥Charles Finney's life/ministry was living proof that doctrines like that of the 5-Point Calvinists has come perilously close to the preaching of "another Jesus, another Gospel and another spirit" as warned against by the Bible.
