  1. 18:5519:29… "Let me speak to many a lady here. You would be shocked if I should deny your Christianity. You move in the highest circles of life, and you would be astonished if I should presume to touch your piety, after your many generous donations to religious objects; but I dare to do so. You—what do you do? You rise late enough in the day: you have your carriage out, and call to see your friends, or leave your card by way of proxy. You go to a party in the evening; you talk nonsense, and come home and go to bed. And that is your life"

I've attended but few Protestant churches, but likely preachers generally don't talk like Spurgeon did.

  2. 34:2534:32… "The mansions of the redeemed are far brighter dwelling places than the mansions of the richest here below"

I heard one preacher now deceased by the name of Cox from Pomona California talk about having one wall of his house when he got to heaven to be made of diamond.

The brief description of New Jerusalem in the book of the revelation certainly makes it sound like Diamond as we know it will be used possibly but it does seem that if the streets are pure gold clear as glass this is a form of gold not realized here on Earth at this time but With God all things are possible so this doesn't sound at all unusual and that preacher can have his Diamond wall, the mansions that are prepared by Jesus for us are likely to be spectacularly awesome compared to anything anything that we can imagine
