  1. We all have feet of clay, including George Whitefield. After founding an orphanage in Georgia in the late 1730s, he became concerned that the funding for it would dry up.

    He began advocating that Georgia—and the orphanage—could not be successful without slave labor, as it had been illegal since its initial charter. Due to Whitefield’s lobbying the trustees lifted the ban on slavery in 1751. He welcomed the decision. 😢

  2. He was in a Holiness Club @ Oxford with the Wesley brothers. God worked in millions of lives through those 3 young men. George Whitfield rode a million miles on horseback across America and died from pneumonia in North Dakota or Montana. I forget exactly where.
