John Graham Lake 1870-1935 was a leader in the early Pentecostal movement. In 1914 he started “The Divine Healing Institute,” …

  1. I'm sure, if the Pharisees of 100 years later tried to find evidence against Jesus via newspaper reports (if newspapers had existed in the first century) they would have found MUCH evil speaking and false accusations against Him!
Furthermore, it's almost certain one could find witnesses of financial wrongdoing right out of Jesus' headquraters – a thief held the bag, and Jesus knew about it the whole time!

  2. Get in touch with Curry Blake, head of John G Lake ministries. He was officially given the headship a few decades ago. If your serious, you will see how spurious your attacks are. Don't judge just to back up your own theology, John G Lake was an honourable man, and you're getting your 'facts' from newspapers. Please get in touch with Curry Blake if you are interested in truth. He is an expert in the history of John G Lake.

  3. I do not think most churches today would hire a man convicted of stock fraud and arrested for posing as a police office as a pastor. That is not being above reproach. Thanks for your time and effort you gave on this video. Things like this just reinforce my decision to stop attending a charismatic church!

  4. The thing that trumps it all is his mentor died of a stroke, Joh G Lakes first wife died of malnutrition while he was out doing these healings. I know he had another wife that died young then he died at 65 of a stroke. So to me if divine healings work why did they all die of disease??? I believe in healing I have had it snd I have seen it. But everyone does not receive healing because it’s a sinful and broken world!

  5. I think we're dealing with modern Pharisees. Obviously they're not real christians. Probably disciples of R.C Sproul, McArthur, Jehova Witneses, Calvinists or Mormons. A bunch of pharisees. they're really against Jesus. they don't know him. Pharisees were one of those religious groups questioning every miracle of Jesus or every miracle in the name of Jesus. the very same spirit at work.

  6. Thank-you for this video. I apologize for the numerous "trolls" who wrote bad comments. There are those who still "idolize" and follow the "strange fire" of John G. Lake, and that is really, really sad. I appreciate all of your research and the time that you and your lovely wife devote to this channel.

  7. John G Lake may have been a fraud. But the media has always been hostile to religion. And the media has always been hostile to leaders who claim to have healing powers. I particularly wouldn't believe a newspapers account regarding anything involving the Christian world. Vast majority of journalists are atheists. This has been proven for years. Obviously they have a vested interest and condemning anybody who walks with Jesus christ. I'm not sticking it for John G lake. But I wish you had better sources. Because it is very difficult to condemn somebody when the preacher's enemies are the only source of the account.

  8. News paper articles don’t lie? Lol … I almost fell over laughing when I heard that… anyway what’s your point? Are you saying Jesus can’t heal today? I’m sure you would like to think the word of God is a bunch of lies as well. But the word itself teaches, let every man be a liar and let God be true.

  9. I see people nitpicking over whether the newspapers were lying or not. or weather history says he was legit or fraud

all newspapers and opinions aside. He Claimed to be Elijah! if that's not Enough Proof! Your willingly blind!

  10. U got 16 minutes of unproven fraud! They also said Jesus was a Fraud, HOW CAN YOU CALL HIM A FRAUD , WHEN 100% OF THE PEOPLE WITH SERIOUS DISEASES WERE HEALED WITHOUT MEDICAL HELP ? WHAT UR REALLY SAYING , IS THAT JESUS IS A FRAUD! BECAUSE, man can do NOTHING, WITHOUT GOD. John Lake never healed one person! IT WAS ALWAYS GOD THAT HEALS. SO U ARE ACTUALLY CALLING GOD A FRAUD! You better be carful! IT IS A FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD!

  11. From watching this video and seeing the newspaper articles, it’s sad that John Lake went astray towards the end there in Oregon. From what I have read about this man it looks like he did begin his ministry with God performing miracles in the beginning. There are articles about healings and miracles that did take place in Africa. Too bad it ended as described in this video later in his life. The fact is that Jesus Christ is still God who can heal and perform miracles. I have witnessed at different times people who were prayed for and God did indeed heal them. One was my own sister who God healed from cancer. She is still living today. If a preacher goes astray that does not take away the truth from the Scriptures that God is still a healer.

  12. Your casting judgment on John G Lake based on newspaper articles? The real question here is, are you who is promoting this video a born again Christian? By the way, what's up with the satanic shirt?
