If when we are born again we become new creations, the old passed away, all is made new then why do we not start to live the life of the spirit that we were born into? Nobody teaches the new believers about this because few in leadership understand it. They teach people to dress right and to act right but they do not teach the way of the spirit within and the Holy Spirit within. We are so accustomed to walking by the flesh that is all we know. We may walk in the knowledge that God is real for a while after being born again but eventually most people go back to walking by their physical senses again! The truly born from above Holy Spirit baptized believer is to walk by that new spirit within. We are to feed that new spirit with the word of God and strengthen that spirit in prayer. It is true that most need help with turning into a spiritual being. God appointed in the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the building up of the body for ministry. The church is lacking those chosen and anointed leaders that are supposed to build up the body! These are the things that most of the modern Christian church is missing out on because they have rejected the part of the Helper, the Teacher, the Holy Spirit to lead and guide the body of Christ on the Earth. Jesus said that he was going away but he was sending a new helper, the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit is who the Lord Jesus gave us to continue his ministry. The Lord spent those years training the 12 Apostles and many others how to preach, and teach, and minister to the sick. This included casting out demons. He taught them the things of the spirit realm that are the cause of much of our troubles. Sadly, the Roman church took over. The Bible was locked away for over 1200 years. People lived religious lives but there was no power just as it is written…”having a form of godliness but denying the power.” God wants power in the body of Christ. When the Reformation came people learned to be born again but most did not receive the Holy Spirit’s ministry. They believed, as many do today, that all of that had “passed away.” In a sense all of that does pass away when you do not have the proper belief. Reject the Holy Spirit and he is unable to do anything about it. We were given free will. When that new spirit within is ignored people naturally go back to the flesh. That new spirit from God is what is supposed to communicate with the Holy Spirit. It should not be just when we pray but we should walk in and by that spirit within. When we do then we will not fulfill the desires of the flesh as it is written. We are three part beings. Sadly because translations can be confusing people often mistake the word soul for spirit. We are spirit, soul (mind, will, emotions), and body. The spirit is reborn by God. The mind is not renewed, just as the body is not. The word says that we must bring the mind into subjection to the word of God. That takes some work. Many people once they become a believer will read the Bible….once, maybe even twice. They may choose their favorite scriptures. We are supposed to study that New Covenant and learn how to be subject to it. The Old Covenant is important, too, but we are living in the New Covenant. Our instructions are in the New Covenant scriptures. We have been given authority that Old Testament people never had. They were never born again either! The Lord Jesus came to give us a new way of life. A spirit led way of life! That is what he suffered for! He came to redeem us and give us back that communication with God. Paul said that our struggle is not with flesh and blood. We struggle against unseen forces that are constantly at work. In most Christian’s lives the devils disguise themselves as fleshy sins or trials that come against them. If you are walking by the spirit the Holy Spirit is leading you into how to deal with these things. Many times you do not even realize the attacks because tue Holy Spirit has led you in the right path that avoids the trap that was set for you. Jesus has prepared a life of the spirit for us but the modern Christian church is not properly taught about the spirit realm or holiness and dedication to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The practitioners of occult activities are more dedicated to their idols and rituals than most Christians are to prayer. That is why this country is dying. We have the power within us, and it should be upon us, to defeat the sin and deception that cripples this nation. All it takes is belief that God hears us and dedication to learning what God calls us to. When was the last time you saw a church dedicated to prayer meetings for this country? When was the last time you saw real prayer in a church at all??!! Learn to know the difference between soul and spirit. Learn to hear the Holy Spirit within you. Dedicate time to seeking the Lord. If you sincerely seek Him He will reveal himself to you.

Thanks for sharing, I prayed for God to show me is Wisdom and for me to understand His word, Oh my did He listened. What a great Father we serve not only did He answered my prayer but He reveled Himself to me in a powerful way. I used to be a beggar Christian, thinking that the more I told God how bad was out here in this world; He would have more pity on us! That's when He told me' Hey Romi you already got it! Stop asking me what you already have. He told I'm Spirit, My Spirit lives in you, come boldly to my secret place; that's when I realized that the word of God are not just words to make us think that they are there to confused us but to give us the Revelation that God has for our lives. I prayed for Him to transform my heart to His loving heart. Oh Heavenly I give thanks for ministers of your word; that they preach the truth; with the discernment of the Holy Spirit not trough worldly standards.
