Some churches, Amish and ?, use 'standardized' sermons, and from my perspective, the adherents are examples of James 1:22. "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

The Amish churches are captive congregations, and the preacher need not deliver the "Gospel" to those who 'think' they are 'living' the Gospel.

However, the Amish lifestyle is possibly an example worthy of consideration.

Seems to me there's more than one parable about the servants and how they are rewarded when Jesus returns. It does seem that there will be rulers over certain cities.

Maybe there's some Old Testament leaders that foreshadow some of the ways that these cities will be organized under Jesus as the king. And then there are passages that indicate Jesus is still going to have to rule with a rod of iron.

Thinking about the Exodus impossibly this being somewhat of a foreshadowing what's to come would indicate a lot of zigging and zagging which means that nothing is really that straightforward as pointed out in Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end"
