5:44…. "the Cid" Refers to; "El Cid" is a title meaning "th Lord" in Arabic, given to the real-life 11th-century Castilian knight and military leader Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar. His military successes and legend inspired Spanish literature, including the epic poem El Cantar de Mio Cid, and he is celebrated as a national hero of Spain, though he also fought for and against Muslim rulers during his lifetime
One day our joy will be complete—when in a moment our faith will be sight, and the trials of this world will be no more. [1 John 3v2/1 Corinthians 13v12] Come Lord Jesus. Wonderful message once again.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
An excerpt of Matthew Henry's commentary on Isaiah 32 which Gavin refers to as the third entry in his introduction and is the teaching of spurgeon's titled 'Our Hiding Place' based on Isaiah 32:2
MHCW excerpt; "When the greatest evils befal us, not only the wind, but the tempest, when storms of guilt and wrath beset us and beat upon us, they drive us to Christ, and in him we are not only safe, but satisfied that we are so;"
12 Submit to God’s royal son,e or he will become angry,
and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities—
for his anger flares up in an instant.
But what joy for all who take refuge in him!
Maybe all the kings and rulers of the Earth are meeting at the UN today and verse 12 is for those of us wherever in the world we be who are trying to follow the lamb.
I like the NLT translation here and this is another song that mentions our refuge in God
Maybe the psalm is for our day with the nation's enraged
One time I was in need of £1000 as I cried out to God as I drove home I was amazed to find a cheque for £1000 had been delivered to my house through the letterbox box. God has met all my needs since I asked Jesus Christ His son to forgive my mistakes and sins and He has for 34 years amen
Thank you for reading this. This comes at an important time where a number of pseudo-Christians are attacking me in a supposedly Christian organization. So many denominations and Christian organizations and schools have been infiltrated by Satan's followers that it is hard to find a pure group of God's people.
Jesse's piety: David's father, Jesse, participated in religious rituals. When the prophet Samuel came to Bethlehem to find the future king, he held a sacrificial feast and invited Jesse and his sons. A family with status: Jesse was a man of some standing in the community, described as an elder of Bethlehem, which suggests he was respected within the religious and social structure of the town. Anointed by Samuel: Jesse and his family accepted the prophet Samuel's religious authority, a high honor that shows their place within the Israelite religious system. Family dynamics around David's religious status: David was overlooked: When Samuel arrived, Jesse presented his elder sons first and left David, the youngest, tending the sheep. This action is widely interpreted to mean Jesse had little regard for David's potential and had overlooked him.

A further study of David follows;
Family dynamics around David's religious status:
David was overlooked: When Samuel arrived, Jesse presented his elder sons first and left David, the youngest, tending the sheep. This action is widely interpreted to mean Jesse had little regard for David's potential and had overlooked him.
Amen. Hallelujah.
