  1. Thank you for sharing! Wonder if you all can share the gospel with Cesar Millan (aka The Dog Whisperer). This has been on my heart for sometime. Thanks again, God bless you all.

  2. Are you gentlemen going to tear the book of James from the Holy Scriptures, just like Luther did? Please see: Titus 2:14; Ephesians 2:10. The book of Revelation is filled with affirmations that we will be judged according to our works!

  3. To be fair, Whitefield didnt seem to understand HOW the African-American slave trade worked. "Slavery" is obviously different in many parts of the world. Great snippet! Loved this video

  4. One of The Greats of The Faith in America and Pioneers of spreading The Gospel/Christian Faith in the first world of the colonies. Wonderful guys you made a study video of what most of us did not know. Thank you

  5. Hi Ray
Writing from NZ. Have you read the work by William Gurnall first published in 1655 "The Christian in Complete Armour"
Spurgeon said the best writing 2nd the the Bible. It is absolutely inspirational.
    Love your podcasts …
    God Bless…dave

  6. oh good grief…. there was no need to dump on whitefield "to bring balance" Nobody in their right mind or at this table was elevating whitefield to an equivalent place as the catholics have done with Mary, even making her divine and sinless.

  7. I am asking for prayer for myself to Settle down in a Church and become a member of a Church. And also pray for me that I learn how to get along with my brothers and sisters in Christ . Thank you and God Bless you all.

  8. I beg your pardon ahead of time, but perhaps we shouldn’t be singing the praises of Whitfield, Wesley, Edwards, etc. I submit to you this may be one of the traps the Roman Catholic Church fell into with venerating Mary and the “saints”? Also, keep in mind someone could say today that the most popular preacher is Joel Osteen… Keep in mind the 5 Solas, specifically the 5th, Glory to God alone.

  9. So the problem with your misunderstanding of James 2:17 and 2:24:

    James 2:17,24 KJV
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. [24] Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

…is connected to your misunderstanding of the atonement. By misunderstanding the atonement in purely penal substitution terms you think that salvation is connected to a formula like "the amount of Jesus blood and suffering = the power to remit x-number of sins".

Your mistake on the nature of justification, that is, being IN CHRIST is how the redemption applies to any given person, blinds you to the fact that while salvation is 100% of the Lord, the access comes to those who actually walk with the Lord.

So yes, what you do also determines your salvation, as if you choose to walk in sin after presuming that the atonement applies to you because you were once born again in the past, you will find yourself missing heaven, BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DID AND DIDN'T DO!

    Matthew 7:22-23 KJV
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    Romans 2:6-16 KJV
Who will render to every man according to his deeds: [7] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: [8] But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, [9] Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; [10] But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: [11] For there is no respect of persons with God. [12] For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; [13] (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. [14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: [15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) [16] In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

    Hebrews 3:12-14 KJV
    Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. [13] But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. [14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

    2 Peter 2:20-21 KJV
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. [21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
