We have today to many people who can talk about great men of God but can they preform what the great men of God preformed? I dont want to know where God was I want to know where He is now. Dont just tell me about Power show it to me. Dont just tell me about Jesus show me his life thru you.
Charles Finney invented the sinners prayer saying that it would bring you into salvation. I challenge everyone to show me where the sinners prayer is in the Bible! Once you discover that it is not in the Bible, then take that question to your “pastor” or “reverend” and ask them! Rom 10:17 says that Faith comes by hearing the word of God. With this simple understanding we should all be able to agree that if it’s not in the Bible then we should put no faith in it!
Hubby and I are reading through Finney's Revival lectures and his systematic theology. We are applying his teachings on prayer and recognizing the signs that a revival is needed and that God wants to do a revival.
What an ignorant preacher! Charles Finney was probably the biggest heretic in the history of Christianity go check it what he taught and believed!!!!!! He denied the imputed righteousness of Christ to the believer!!!! He did not preach the biblical gospel!!! Turn this ignorant Pastor off!!!! Go listen to Art Katz, Martyn Lloyd Jones, RC Sproul, Charles Spurgeon!!!!
Finney was a heretic that denied the power of Christ and the need for His grace. To him the gospel was odious. "The doctrine of imputed righteousness, or that Christ’s obedience to the law was accounted as our obedience, is founded on a most false and nonsensical assumption." No one should listen or respect such a man.
