  14. Jesus and His apostles tell us how to be saved by providing specific commandments for salvation in the New Testament Scriptures. They are presented here with example Scripture references. Once we become Christians by obeying Jesus’ commandments for salvation below, we should practice our faith by doing good works. Though good works alone do not save, we practice them BECAUSE we are Christians. “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26 KJV).

    –HEAR THE GOSPEL (First Corinthians 15:1-4)

    –BELIEVE THE GOSPEL (John 3:16)

    –REPENT OF YOUR SINS, FORMER RELIGIOUS WAYS, BELIEFS, AND PRACTICES (Acts 3:19)

    –CONFESS BEFORE MANKIND THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD (Matthew 10:32-33)

    –BE BAPTIZED FOR REMISSION OF SINS (Acts 2:38; Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3-5; Galatians 3:27; First Peter 3:21). Note that we cannot be saved until we have remission of sins through baptism by full immersion in water.

    –LIVE A CHRISTIAN LIFE BY OBEYING AND SERVING CHRIST (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 2:10).

    Mention baptism for salvation, and many people immediately turn to the thief on the cross scenario. They claim that we can be saved like the thief on the cross, saved by faith alone in Jesus without being baptized by immersion in water, just as the thief had faith but most likely had not been baptized. The difference is that while Jesus was on earth, He had the power to forgive sins (Matthew 9:1-8) as well as to forgive and save the thief on the cross (Luke 23:43). All that was before the New Covenant was established. Since we are not thieves on crosses today and with the New Covenant now in effect, we are subject to all of Jesus’ commandments and cannot be saved in the same manner as the thief. Thus, we must be baptized by full immersion in water for remission of sins as one of Jesus’ requirements for salvation.

    Ephesians 2:8-9 states that we are saved by grace through faith, not works. That is, Jesus saves us through His grace as a gift to those who have faith enough to obey His commandments, WHICH ARE NOT PERSONAL WORKS. Yet denominations abuse the passage in claiming salvation by faith alone in Jesus. But Jesus says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15 KJV), just like those above. “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you” (John 15:14 KJV). “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:46 KJV).

    THEREFORE, IF YOU TRULY HAVE FAITH IN JESUS AND YOU REALLY WANT TO BE SAVED, THEN DO WHAT JESUS TELLS YOU TO DO. IT’S. JUST. THAT. SIMPLE.

  21. Brother when my own faith in the lord god JESUS CHRIST has failed, then this brothers speech will not change my life any way, but i would like to be clear on one thing. I have full full faith in my Lord and my God Jesus Christ for ever. I shall never ever go against my God even if iam burning in the HELL.

  27. We all have had that emptiness only to be filled by JESUS CHRIST our LORD and KING. I learnt just a year ago I'm autistic although known at my mother but she decided she was not interested to took me for any treatment and I have to suffered through school, it answered so much questions I have about myself and that truth made me free. Days are not all easy but its always possible! There's always much reasons to be grateful off.

  40. I need this message. I walked so close to Jesus. I have let it slip. In one season, I fell off track. I don’t know how much time and how do I get back what I lost. I went from a blessed life to one of struggle. I am Adam, cast out of Eden. Instead of plenty, now I figureitivly search the dry ground for grubs.
    I have pain and am now addicted to pain medicine. I pray that God will also know that I am a gentle man, I love deeply. And it’s said Love covers a multitude of sins. I had a Catholic priest in our home yesterday. I got a haircut to look presentable. As I left the barber, my wallet fell out of my pocket, as I’m making a confession, someone used all the money in our debit card on who knows what. Today I cried more than I have since my Father died. I felt that God rejected me.
    I know now that is wrong. It is Satan’s attempt to hurt me when I’m seeking Him who I know wants me back. Would some loving person offer a prayer of healing and repentance. My name is Tom, I’m on my wife’s website. Please, I cry for him and someway through this deep valley of darkness and cutting stones. I hope for someone’s prayer. God bless you all
