Time” is intricate, with driving bass lines and soaring guitar solos that express the weight of the lyrics. The build-up to the song’s climactic guitar solo is an emotional release, capturing the overwhelming feeling of facing the passage of time head-on. Pink Floyd’s message in “Time” is universal—reminding listeners that life is short, and it’s easy to let time slip away without fully appreciating it. With its reflective lyrics and stunning musical arrangement, “Time” remains one of Pink Floyd’s most powerful songs, urging us all to consider how we spend the moments we are given
So enlightening!!!! God's Grace by way of His only Begotten Son Jesus and now guided by The Holy Spirit!!!!!! Thanks and praise Father, Son and Holy Spirit!!! And may God's Grace continue with Gavin C. and all his followers on this channel!
Through many dangers, toils and snares We have already come 'Twas grace that brought us safe thus far And grace will lead us home

Gavin Childress. Thank you for the sermons you bring to us. It is your commitment and hard work that brings us hope and changes lives. I pray that many people will hear these.
37:16 references 2 Sam.6:6-8 Uzzah 'touched' the Ark to 'steady' it when the 'oxen' 'stumbled' and was killed by God and David was angry with God for killing Uzzah? I heard or read somewhere 'a preacher' teaching that preachers are as ox from 1 Tim. 5:18. So the oxen of Samuel may be the leaders of The Church (the ark?) which needs steadying?
7'23" to 8'08" brings to mind Job 38:2 "" Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorant words?"" NLT Now I ask myself did David know of this passage in Job and become angry about Uzzah, who Spurgeon refers to a bit later in this sermon, in thinking to himself that God didn't kill Job for what seemed to be a similar type of transgression? Uzzah seemed to need react spontaneously while Job over some time seemed to express at times self- pity and for some time resignation.???? Some commentaries suggest the book of Job may be the most ancient of the Bible and if so I am speculating may have been known to and read by David and so his anger.
Matt. 7:11 King James Bible If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Timeless Biblical advice !! Nothing changes in the human soul! I Never Tire of Biblical Wisdom ! Thank you for taking the time to share this Spurgeon masterpiece 💞 Going to relisten and take notes 😊
I will do the work of God and God will do my work. To me to live is Christ and to die is gain as Apostle Paul wrote. Praise and thanks be to the Lord my God and Savior Jesus Christ.
God has always taken care of me,one time,as an example,my wife and I were traveling through oklahoma city and on the radio tornadoes were all around it was night time and all we saw was lightning suddenly as we passed an exit # the radio said if you are at that exit a tornado was right there I pulled under an overpass where there were other cars stopped .I suddenly heard in my being that still small voice urgently saying go…go…go,drive do it now I recognized this as God so i pulled out and drove like crazy.I found out on the news that the tornado cut a mile wide swath through oklahoma city it went right through that overpass and sucked the cars out that were under there and we are only alive by the guidance of the Holy Spirit .
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. 32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? 33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
This is a very helpful message. It’s a lifetime process of casting our care on God. Remembering that He cares for us should be an incentive for us to cast all these cares which weigh us down. It’s a growing in grace process.
I so appreciate that he plainly lays out the case…saying that worry is sin. Too many of us think worry is something we cannot help but do, as if it were a disease thrust upon us rather than an act of our own will. Likewise, many of us believe that we cannot help being depressed, and the culture says that we should take pills to cope with the "disease" of depression, when it is much more likely that our depression is simply either lack of faith in God or anger at God.
I praise God for preserving the messages of Charles Spurgeon, and thank God for you and your wonderful gifts and ministry. I awake each morning excited to hear a word from God through the messages of His faithful servants. May God bless you and your ministry exceedingly abundantly! You are a channel of blessing!
Having attended RC school 1-7 grades and baptized and confirmed but do not recall any of what was taught of religion. Age 12 started a series of arrests until jailed at age 16, but only 'worry' was how to provide income, and my thinking was burglary would be a source of income. The jail time discouraged the pursuit of burglary but did nothing to discourage the use of mind altering substances. Now, I'm pushing 73 and recently read stanza 3 of the hymm Amazing Grace, which very simply explains how God's grace miraculously is evident in our lives. But, even so, it seems impossible to 'be in accord with' Psalm 51:17. King James Bible The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Is there a certain ordering of precepts? Thinking about Martin Luther makes me think maybe humbling ourselves as taught here is possibly near number one if there is an ordering.
19'44"-20'02"….suicides & 'lunacy' increases and competition in business is a contributing factor. In another teaching, he mentions something business practices that would possibly be a factor, and that is the adulteration of black pepper with a compound of lead called litharge.
Cure for worry.. It is a must needed message.. 🙏

Sin produces sorrow. Self seeking we are focusing on our self and circumstances instead of on God and His promises
