The Asbury Revival has created an uproar in the body of Christ sending people into a frenzy about this concept of revival.

  1. I understand what you are saying with your first point, but I believe there are actual places that you can tangibly feel the presence of God more powerfully than other places. It was definitely that way with everything I studied about Azusa Street. And we know that the upper room where the disciples prayed and they were met by the Holy spirit, was a powerful place where miraculous things were happening. I'm not saying The Holy Spirit can't use people wherever they go powerfully (that is scriptural). But also there are actual places where God can come down tangibly. The Scriptures say that God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22). I have experienced actual places where you can feel the power of God more than other places. Just my experience.

  2. Thank you for a very thorough examination of the topic nonetheless. If God is being worshipped that's a win for him but he wants us to win along with him by experiencing genuine repentance and renewal.

  3. The title picture for this video contradicts – or at the very least misrepresents – what you say so I truly feel you need to fix that. Might seem like a small thing and maybe counter to the youtube norm but it's cultural and important for your audience.

  4. Without being all knowing then you will never know the hearts of those that came to God in that place. Give thanks to God this is happening where young people are. Pray for God to look after these young people and that these young people will go deeper in the Word. Dont think you're perfect!

  5. I think it is terrific that people would be willing to come out and go to the revival in college. I think it is great that they united like that. I think it is wonderful that people there got something out of it.
The same comments could be made about church the church is you, God is everywhere. You have to do x y and z first and keep on keeping on. Let's rejoice in this unless it is against Jesus, it doesn't appear as though it is though.

  6. I dont know how to feel about all this honestly. Yes revival is not about a place its a move of the holy ghost. But that does not mean he cant move across the town or city of Asbury. In my own opinion if it truly wasnt from God it wouldve ended shortly but no the spirit moved for 5 days in a row 24/7 and i even heard a story of a possessed woman getting delivered from evil spirits. Theres no way asbury was not from God.

  7. The problem is when we want to define a new revival with the experience we had when we were at a past revival- ie Toronto or Pensacola Revival. They are going to be different. The emphasis of the spirit with the Asbury revival is about bringing the body of Christ away from man imposed structures and barriers. The underlying tone is people convicted and genuinely repenting from their sins- and people making a decision to go for God the more. It is going to be hard for people caught up with modern Christianity with stage lights, heavy instruments and loud music- worship leader with excellent voice etc

  8. It was definitely not planned for me. It clicked for me one day while playing Doom of all things. I had an epiphany that radically changed how I approached the lord and conducted myself.

  9. The danger is trying to explain your definition of a reviva!BOOK OF ACTS..chapter2.. Next Event.. HOLYGHOST!! HE will not leave us ignorant..people travel IN THE OLD TESTAMENT! to Worship THE GOD OF THE BIBLE!!
