  1. Love how practical this is. Thanks for sharing brutha! Youth is definitely a tough cookie to crack at times. Something I've found pretty valuable is to not get stuck focused on programming (events, etc) and see where young people are at in life and then tailoring a message or even a series around that. Anyway, good stuff man 🙂

  2. While these are valid approaches it doesn't necessarily make you convincing especially to skeptical kids like me. My parents made me go to church youth group to make me a Christian like them. I listened, even took notes but I also asked lots of questions which were welcome at first… but as time went on it annoyed the leaders and caused the some of the other kids to have doubts as well.

  3. Hello my name is Benjamin…im a youth pastor assistant or in training one of tho to…I live in Aberdeen Washington.. and I go to Faith House Ministries…My youth kids are from preteens to 16….The pastor that im studying under is good ..but he teaches like there kindergarteners and 4th graders….he reads two paragraphs out of the Bible… talks about nothing to do with what we studied and it almost puts me to sleep…and then he plays games with them for the rest of the hour…. he has them making crafts…. I feel in my heart that they're not getting the studies that they need for being in Bible study and Sunday School…. I have talked to my senior pastors about it to see what they can come up with and to help me and they have no idea on what to do…. I don't know how to approach my youth pastor maybe letting me teacher class to see how I do because it's just reading a few phrases I get really nervous and I steam to stumble over my own words and stutter… But I know the kids aren't getting filled the way you're supposed to be getting filled in Bible studies is there something that you can help me with to tell him which would be great

  4. Not going to lie, I instantly felt convicted when you stated to keep it Bible centered, not “you” centered. I’ve never done so to puff myself up or boast, but to share what the Lord has helped me through. Your right! Jesus doesn’t ask you to tell them about what He’s done for “you”, but to tell them what Jesus can do for them and the cost He paid to get us here. Amen brother. Amen. ⚔️💞

  5. Great and important advice that also applies to anyone who interacts and gently guides young people in their Christian walk. I’m no longer a youth leader but I have children and grandchildren. This was a great reminder of how to approach everyday life lessons and/or devotions. Thanks for sharing ❤️

  6. This has really blessed me tonight. I am a new tween teacher and now I have the 5 tools that I need to bless the kids. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
