I was an extra on Churchill, the Hollywood years, and met Christian Slater, who spared the time to have a chat, take a photograph with me, and then carry on filming the movie. He was just the nicest person you could ever meet, and was humble enough to realise that the general public, are the ones that pay to go and see the movies. Vic Reeves was just the same, just a down to Earth, nice bloke.
I knew a guy who looked just like Christian Slater. Then again maybe he was Christian Slater pretending to not be Christian Slater and he fooled us all.
Seems like few got out of the 80's Hwood scene alive and well, really glad he made it. Him shaking hands with everyone on set is why he is still working, imo. Professionalism will trump drama most times. I had Kuffs on VHS and watched it all the time as a teenager. He and Tony Goldwyn have great comedic chemistry. Love True Romance/all the action ones. Inside Job is my recent fave. Highly recommend. Thanks for a shout out to another actor that deserves one. 😉👌
That remark about mr. robot being great. Yeah, no doubt. Up until S3. It's such a shitshow afterwards it's just amazing. Whenever i decide to rewatch mr. robot i stop at the last episode of season two.
Robot is meh at best. In the grand scheme of things. You wont miss anything by not seeing it. And certainly wont be better for have seeing it. But, its a fine time waster. Which just testifies, to the utter garbage state of entertainment media.
I honestly feel like perhaps his agent wasn't that good because he's always been a talented actor and in a few movies has had the chance to show his skills off and, as you say, they have achieved cult status. He seemed to be on his way to becoming a Hollywood heartthrob who was also talented but then suddenly took minor or dreadful roles. It seemed a strange descent and I'm not sure if Hollywood just didn't want to cast him or if his agent was advising on the wrong movies.
No mention of “A Case of the Stubborns” from Tales from the Darkside
Slater's Jack Nicholson impression is definitely NOT bad. It's spot on!
Am I hallucinating or is that fight club in the intro 💀
Hey, he got a cameo on Star Trek 6, he should be happy.

I really liked Churchill the Hollywood Years. Screw the haters, precisely where they wouldn't like it.

I love your humour, you always put me in a good mood 😁
So…..Christian Slater was the first person to bring a skate board to a gun fight ? Cool !

Christian Slater: The King of cult classics.
