+Robertsliardon It would mean so much to me to do a video on the demonic activity, emotionalism, and "fleshy" ways than can come from the true and genuine anointing like for example as we all know Azuza was demonstration of a real anointing but how did it become tampered with or counterfeited and made not real
the key statement within Roberts narrative is that the "THE PURPOSE OF AZUSA STREET CONTINUES". In purpose we see a continuum of Gods workings; and, in this case, it was throughout the world. I am a preacher in New Zealand. Revivals are legitimate; albeit, it is my conviction they are being redefined.
Loved all your shows, I actually had never heard of you 'til I caught you on Todd Bentely's Periscope & O geez! Your have so much wisdom.. I fell in love with your teaching so now I'm watching your videos, not a big reader!! I only have one complaint, Your book advertisement is driving me up the wall, I fell like I am in in Tachi gambling with my moma!
William J Seymour headed the preaching of the Azusa Street revival in Los Angeles in 1906 initiating charismatic spiritually in modern time. William was born May 2, 1870, in Centerville, Louisiana the son of former black slaves. He was baptized in Franklin, Louisiana at The Church of the Assumption Roman Catholic church and had a blend of Roman Catholic, Baptist and Louisiana Voodoo spirituality along with intense racial inequality influencing him during his upbringing. He was a troubled young man tormented by hallucinations and a vexed victim of the circumstance of his youth. He tried to find solace by moving several times: Indianapolis, Indiana; Cincinnati, Ohio; Jackson, Mississippi; Houston, Texas and finally Los Angeles, California were the movement began. Everywhere he went he sought spirituality whether Christian or heretical. He contracted smallpox yet lived but thus lost his eye to the disease in Cincinnati; possibly a physical manifestation of his own skewed spiritual blindness. As bad as the loss of his eye, his introduction to Charles Parham a preacher and instructor of heresy in Houston was far worse. Parham influenced young William to the “baptism of the Holy Ghost” and glossolalia so called “speaking in tongues” to formulate the assurance of one’s salvation. William was taken by this paradigm witnessing such the like as a boy beholding Louisiana Voodoo, a mixture of a deluded understanding Roman Catholicism’s sacramental veneration of deceased saints and west African tribes’ spirituality with dancing and incoherent vocal response through demonic possession. This is the stuff of charismatic spirituality in the guise of Christianity, then in William’s day and now it is much the same with the addition of patripassianism the modalistic view of God and Hindu Kundalini the demon possession brought upon by music and focusing on flowing waves of “love” manifesting in bodily gyrations, running mad, psychotic laughter and incoherent utterances. **Stay far away from this dangerous spiritual deception and if you are partaking separate yourself in great haste.** Repent and seek ye the Kingdom of the King of Kings, Christ, Jesus!
Hello Robert it is great seeing this clip. I have enjoyed your book, God's Generals. Glad to see you continuing in the faith. The last we talked, you talked to me about pastoring. That was 2012-13. I am glad to report that I will be installed as pastor in a few months. Thanks for you ministry that has encouraged me to also continue in the faith.
Did u mean to say Parum was a racist?? Because u said Seymore and I can't understand What do you mean if u said Seymore was a racist? most accounts say Seymore was the most humble man they ever met. I think you must be misspoke. Because we all know how they felt about Blacks at that time.
Charles Parham trained William Seymour in certain things… but in the end Charles Parham denied William Seymours Azusa street church when he visited him. He said it was prostitution of tongues and the word spread like wildfire.. along with other silly jealousy from church members. The church membership dropped significantly and eventually the property was sold after Seymours & his wife's death. It wasn't until 60 some odd years later they recognized again the Azusa street movement. We can't allow our own understanding to Stand in the way of what God is doing for the church. Put that flesh aside and listen to Gods wisdom before you open your mouth against any woman or man of God. That's one of the main issues in church today. We can't sit down and listen to each other like we need to. Pray listen fast prepare and we can be a great movement together and judge one another with Righteous judgement like the word talks about. Judge my faults because we need to be judged by one another but make sure you take the speck out of your eye first . Moreover we need each other and we as believers have to stand together
I love God, it's sad to me racism exists today. In heaven there will be no segregation. God made all men in his likeness and image. The result of Azusa street was black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Italians, and many other ethnicities worshiped together, now that's the way God wants it to be. I get tired of hearing about the white church, the black church, the Hispanic church, how about we all be the church!
No pastor has ever done the work that Seymour did. He humbled himself and his life was a living sacrifice for God's work. Racist? God doesn't work through people who have pride or are racist. Seymour prayed 7 hours a day. And I think you dwell too much on the tongues that people were seeking when they came to Azusa…they WERE blessed with the outpouring of the Spirit by speaking other languages, and as you mentioned, many went to mission lands from Azusa St., but the majority of people who came there came for HEALING. Demons were cast out also…arms and legs grew back in, teeth grew back in…the miracles were amazing!! Read the books on Amazon about the Azusa Revival, and Wm. Seymour. There was a prophecy given to Seymour and to one or two others at the same time, in different locations, that before Jesus comes again there will be a final revival and outpouring like Azusa Street. Let's all pray for that brethren.
"If tongues was the evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit then men and women that have received the gift of tongues could not believe contrary to the TEACHINGS of the Holy Spirit. Since tongues is NOT the evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit men and women can receive it yet be destitute of the truth. It's one of the SIGNS not the evidence." "No one in our work shall be known as receiving the Holy Ghost simply because he or she speaks in tongues alone." William J. Seymour Maybe this is part of why the rift came in at Azusa St. The main reason was the mailing list was stolen by the lady, as you said…but Pentecostals today need to seek for ALL the evidence of the Spirit.
Thank you for providing this awesome piece of church history!
WE NEED MORE VIEWS
Thanks so much my brother for giving us these wonderful stories that motivate us to continue. It is very inspirational
Have you heard of Tommy Welchel?
What was the English translation of the Chinese Ozman wrote on that paper?

Enjoyed it, thanks.
As many healings that were in his ministry. What caused his heart attack?? Did no one pray for him?
Thanks for compiling these facts and putting them down for us to know and understand
