Thank you for this video. I knew I noticed when a film or book felt God-inspired or Bibically-inspired but I was never always sure why. I could understand or notice the basic things such as self-sacrifice, or faith, or love as the main themes or when there were parallels between some people in the Bible(e.g. Job, Jesus) and characters in movies, but other times I wasn't sure why some films felt Christ-like.
This video helped me to understand why some films 'felt' Christian even when they were secular. Thank you for introducing me to the Christ-like gaze and the article by Brett McCracken.
GREAT VIDEO!!! I would love to hear your opinion on the movies Waves and Fury! Theyβre both secular films, but seem to have biblical references and themes woven throughout
