  1. Too bad so many married couples don't take 'covenant' more seriously like Ruth and Billy did. God blessed the ministry because of both of their commitment to God and to each other. Great examples for this generation.

  2. The sadness of the doctrines of the Presbyterian church, which is a Protestant church, because it came out of the Catholic Church. But the Baptist church did not come out of the Catholic Church. Presbyterian doctrines cling to John Calvin's teachings and his 5 points that were written about 1400 years after the Bible was completed. I don't have room or time to go over these 5 points in this short comment. Mainly that Jesus only died for the elect, or those who would be saved. No, Jesus died for the sins of the world, but Salvation only takes affect when it is applied. When the Blood is applied to the heart of a lost soul, it changes, from dead spiritually, to alive Spiritually. The part that we inherited from Adam's sin in the Garden of Eden, when he died spiritually. When we are born again Spiritually, we are changed from being dead spiritually to alive Spiritually. This is an individual experience to all who believe. Amen Thus, it is called the new birth, or born again. John 3:16 KJV. For God so Loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that "whosoever" believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life. Whosoever believeth in Him, can be saved, Amen.

  3. Actually, Billy Graham was not strong on what baptism and he didn’t baptize many people. He may have before in his ministry, but not in his crusades. He left it up to the local churches to do that. I disagree with that, but that is the way it happened. I actually don’t agree with him on several things, but I do love that he led people to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Great legacy and I respect him.

  4. Wow. That ending about the burial spot is so sad. If you could go to "The Cove" you would understand that is where her heart was. They said she oversaw every inch of that retreat. It's amazing. You can literally feel the Spirit God when you enter those stone gates. That her son wanted her to be buried in a library spot that he believed would become a 'pilgrimage', a place she had little to nothing to do with, speaks of money and prestige rather than purpose; it is preposterous.

  5. I can see from the end result, that this was likely inevitable. However, why could they not have had her cremated and buried her ashes in both places? Or removed her heart and quietly buried her heart where she had desired to be laid, her body by Billy? It seems unjust that for the rest of her death-life, her bones will lie where she had not desired for them to be. But in the end, we are merely dust, and her living legacy has outlived her passing.
