Jesus is risen, but why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important? What does the resurrection mean? “I am the resurrection and …

  1. This question has a very simple answer: The resurrection of Jesus is important because if it didn’t happen, then virtually all of Christianity is unraveled. And it can’t be proven that such an event took place, which I think is an important thing to recognize.

  2. It has been said of Jesus that "his body rose from the dead." What an absurdity conjured up by earthly minds which were at a loss to satisfactorily explain the death of Jesus as a felon on a cross! What need would Jesus have of an earthly body to continue existence in the afterlife? How could such a ridiculous myth persist even into the 21st century? It has been a measure of the lack of understanding of "Christians" that they have blindly accepted such a dogma to this very time. The truth is that the disciples did not know that Jesus had secretly arranged with Joseph of Arimathea to take the body of Jesus to his own unused tomb after the death of Jesus, where Joseph of Arimathea would anoint the body of Jesus according to Jewish tradition before the sunset. Then, when darkness had fallen and the Sabbath was being observed by everyone in Jerusalem, assisted by two mounted trustworthy servants, Joseph of Arimathea would take the body of Jesus secretly during the night, and by out of sight tracks during the day, to a mountain side outside Nazareth, in Galilee. There, further assisted by the family of Jesus, if Joseph of Arimathea followed the directions of Jesus, Joseph of Arimathea would find a small, hidden cave which had given Jesus shelter from storms and a refuge from people when Jesus was young, unhappy and rebellious, and at odds with the world. Joseph of Arimathea promised to find the cave from a map Jesus had given Joseph of Arimathea and to leave the body of Jesus there after further embalming. Joseph of Arimathea would build up the small entrance to thoroughly block the body of Jesus from intruders. There, the body of Jesus has rested, free from molestation.

  3. This brings hope. After 34 years of intensely violent Pharisees teachings in church, left it…never learnt the gospel or the cross or about Jesus. Thankful for this. Will have to look at this slowly to get it.

  4. Googling how Christians believe/explain that the Resurrection happened gave null result. I gave this video a chance, but he doesn't answer the questions.Just talks by heart with empty claims without foundation. Wait to preach till you found something out to talk about? You claim Christiand "know", where the right word might rather be "believe, think, imagine, hope"?It is not easy, but still…
