  1. I luv Mr Myles but he is wrong. Your seminars can't teach anyone to turn crude oil into petroleum products, or refine steel from iron ores, or build bridges, or make drugs, etc. That's for the african underdeveloped universities.

  2. The question is.. where did they get the knowledge? And whomever you depend upon for guidance, becomes your oppressor or mentor.. Depends upon the heart and motive of the individual. So.. look where we are today in this world and come to your own conclusion.

  3. He doesn't tell us where they got that ability (know how) which he claims ought to have been taught to us! Being a preacher of the word of God, a pastor, he is short of being clear in that respect; that all of us Africans would have to wait for our colonial master to give us knowledge! Strange logic here, no wonder he did not mention God in his talk!

  4. But in this modern era, we can't blame them, even though the World bank, IMF and all those institutions are designed to suppress Africa especially but the fact remains that Africa is not willing to pay the price of total economic independence. If you know the plans of your enemy, why do you keep depending on them. It is sad that with that arable land in Africa, it still has to import food like corn and rice from other countries. We can't blame the colonial masters anymore. Singapore, Hong Kong, and many other places were colonized. They have consciously decided to change their destinies. It's a shame on Africans to remain where they are now.

  5. I don’t know a single BM that became an effective leader by listening to Mr. Munroe… BW on the other hand seem to be very successful (in leadership positions), because they are hardworking and humble. The African countries and diaspora need to put successful BW in leadership positions for the next 100 years, and observe the difference. These nations are in their infancy and need a mother to nurture it to something functional. Furthermore, unlike BM, BW are not power hungry and don’t betray their communities the moment they become successful… The fact that Africa FOOLISHLY keeps rolling out the red carpet for China is beyond frustrating!!!

  6. I think it is because of such powerful and liberating messages like this and positive impacts he was making, that they took his plane down. I can only imagine what he would have done to this world, had the lord now allowed him to have died back then. Rest in peace, God's great general.

  7. Yhoooo we are experiencing this madness in South Africa 🇿🇦 > 66% Africans in debt, leave from pay check to check don’t own multi million businesses. Still look to the White men for employment and handouts, we were sold out even by politicians. I am sick of corruption and wickedness in this country it’s despicable

  8. Why should they teach you can't you teach yourself? Do they have any obligation to teach you as then you would complain that they don't treat you as equals. What ever the teachers do, you will always blame them for your own failure. You can't have both pride and humbleness. As long as you think you are smart no need to teach you.

  9. Ghana had a leader called Kwame Nkrumah who fought for the independence of Ghana and became the first president, he understood what Dr Munro is preaching for not only Ghana but for the entire African continent but Ghanaians didn't understand him so they connived with their former slave masters and overthrew him while he was traveling.

  10. I partially agree with this, because this applies to the first 2-3 decades after colonization ended, but it’s no longer an excuse today.
Our people have had yearsss to learn this leadership thing well enough to excel at it. Even if not perfect, but at least much better than what it is today.

Take for example what happened in the 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria. That was on Nigerians ALONE. Wicked Nigerian voters along with the corrupt electoral body forced this menace called Tinubu on us. How did yt people influence that?

Dr Monroe isn’t wrong, but at this point, we have to start holding ourselves accountable for the rubbish we go through and stop blaming colonial masters that have been in their graves for years.

  11. What he's saying is true and profound but there's one missing element. The colonizers are not the source or originators of knowledge. Much of what they learned came from thriving Black civilizations BEFORE them that they stole by force. Why do you think they targeted us as slaves and not another people?? Look at all of the inventions made by slaves during slavery. Our people were and are geniuses but were forced to give the colonizers the credit and the means to profit from our intelligence which we're still conditioned to do today. If we stop letting them do that and UNITE to form our own businesses and other entities, that will help turn things around. Secondly, we need to start obeying our Creator again in order to receiving His blessings and favor upon us again.

  12. I have to disagree, slave were avid craftsmen, been making cloth and sugar centuries before slavery… the real problem is 1 the oppressors never give us any land 2 we blacks just don't stick together… some had rather buy the oppressors cotton and sugar…

  13. …so the slaves brought here fro the slave trade knew nothing about agricultural life prior to being brought here? How then did they survive? And if they were so ‘dumb’ why did the colonists bring them here? What did the slaves know that made them so valuable to colonists? If these slaves were so inadequate how did so many of them escape without being caught?

  14. The idea is to right the wrong that was done by the colonizers. I personally didn't believe in chasing the devil. I'd rather figure it out or do without rather than inviting him back in.
