When should Christians start dating? Is it okay for Christians to date in high school, in college, or only after you graduate and have …

  1. How do you start dating someone and ask them what their long term goals are (in marriage) without freaking them out? When is the right time to ask them if you're not official yet?

  2. Hey Mark, how do I cultivate a healthy friendship with a guy? Are there boundaries that shouldn't be crossed? What if we are both like each other, but want to know each other more through friendship. We've been friends since last year, and only recently have we become close. The bible says that we women should guard our gardens and hearts, but because the guy I like is my best friend, I naturally tell him my struggles, history, everything. How do I not give him my heart unconsciously?

  3. Hi Mark. I had my best friend for almost 3 years(coming 3 years next month). I met him on Facebook. We were so close in a way that we know already everything about our lives and we're so comfortable inspite of the distance. And we can't deny the fact that we have mutual feelings to each other for a long time already. And also we're both Christians. What's struggling me nowadays is we jump in to the relationship level for 5 months now already. And I'm unsure if our decision we're right?since we haven't met each other yet in person and also we're still in school and don't have stable jobs yet. Also, he believes that I am the right person God was given to him and he made a promise to marry me. But we need to wait to be financially ready for him to fly over here in my country or maybe me flying over to his country to meet him in person. My concern is, did we made the right decision on jumping to the relationship earlier before meeting up physically?

  4. I'm 16 and we respect each other's privacy, people may say it might change over time. We both spiritual people and believe in sex after marriage, we don't even talk it. At the same time we like best friends but dating. I have spoke to God about it everyday and Every time I do so something good always happens between him and I. I find it strange and I do ask God if this is what it is and something always good happens to me. Well my parents don't know about him yet, but when u ask God about him, something strange always happens in our house with my parents and I, it's like they know something but dont. My parents don't fight like they used to…i find that really strange, I mean my bf is still my bestfriend and I've told that I'm not emotionally ready to be in a relationship and he respected me. We are dating but it's not as serious cause we both want to take it slow.

I get it that the 1st stage of dating is always nice but this is different…i don't know how to explain it!😭 I've been scared to go into a relationship, Every time I cry out to God something good happens😭

  5. But sometimes God don't always show vision or signs about marriage sometimes . Christians have make a move. And God will perfect it. But God always shows signs and visions . God bless Y'all.

  6. What do you recomend for this situation?? I'm 18 and I met someone for a 5 month mission . After that we both started to feel "romantic" things one another and we know that. I already started to study university and he is going too , and we live in different countries. What do you think could be a healthy step?

  7. I’m 13 almost 14, I truly care and want to be with this girl. We are both from wholesome Christian families and put our relationship with God above everything else, we both have no lustful or sinful intentions and genuinely care about each other… am I still to young?

  8. Sir , I dated my Girlfriend without that friendship bond , it was love at first sight , I proposed her the day I saw Her . And the sad news is 😥 when you said friendship that struck me hard cause my gf has a best friend from the opposite sex 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ . I'm really under a super depression

  9. What if you exhausted the healthy boundaries of a friendship but the first two things don't apply to you, when you're not in a state what you can say yes I am ready to start persuing marriage?

  10. You should start dating when you’re ready for marriage. Being emotionally, spiritually, physically, financially, and spiritually stable is key. Don’t bleed on someone because you didn’t take the time to heal and deal.

  11. Turning 34 this year. Never had a gf before. But doesn’t mean I haven’t gone out with women. Naturally the masses will ask why I haven’t been in a relationship before. All kinds of doubts, interrogation and JUDGEMENT will surface from women you plan on dating. The Experience is too important to them. Ironic because they had too many past relationships which in reality doesn’t matter since it all FAILED. What I can say is if you can pull it off, make some White Lies to spare yourself from Judgement from not having relationship before and therefore “Inexperienced in Handling relationships.”

  12. Based off of this video, I am not ready to date yet, but I am on the right path. I don't want to date around for fun but date someone who I'd potentially end up marrying. That also leads to being committed to one person. I am still in the friend zone with the person I like, and he is more introverted and we only really see each other at church prior to watching this video. Do you have any tips for a next step? I'll continue to pray about it.

Also I don't think you could marry before 18, if I were to start dating this guy and we maxed out in dating before turning 18, we'd have to wait but still great video and helpful!

  13. Hi. I agree with you, but in some way I think that it's okay to start dating at age 16 and no younger than that. I don't know about British people or any other nationality except old South Africans. Those people were already married when they were 18. I understand that we don't live in those times anymore, but what I mean is if they got married at 18, they must've started dating at age 16 or 17. I'm not saying that I want to be married when I'm 18. I want to be at least 21 or 22 when I get married. We discussed teens and dating a little in class. Our teacher (he is at least 50 years old) said himself that he thinks 16 is a good age. Younger than that is more friendship-ish, you know?

Please don't think that I said your opinion is wrong. I still agree with, but maybe it's good to start dating in high school to get some dating 'experience', you know. And when you get to college, you know something about dating rather than dating in college for the very first time.
