  1. Thank you for listening to “When Heaven Knows My Name.” 🙏

This song is about grace, forgiveness, and the hope that no matter how far we may feel from home, we are never forgotten by God.

If this song touched your heart, I’d love to hear where you’re listening from and what line spoke to you the most.

May you always remember: you don’t have to walk alone. 🤍

  2. I’m from Pennsylvania, USA, and this song touched me in ways I can hardly put into words. I’ve been a Christian for 50 years, and during that time, I’ve walked away from God and from my church more times than I want to admit. Each time I drifted, it became harder and harder to find my way back.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way.”
    Isaiah 53:6

These last two years were the worst — I was almost completely gone. I rarely went to church, and when I did, I felt so out of place and uncomfortable. No one made me feel that way; it was something inside me.

“Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
    Isaiah 44:22

Then one day, something happened that broke me. I finally let go of the thing that had taken hold of my life — the rejection, the fake “friends,” the backbiting, the cruelty, and the pain that came with all of it. The haters were the worst, going out of their way to make life miserable for me. I was exhausted, drained, and no longer able to enjoy what once brought me happiness. I was simply miserable.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
    Psalm 34:18

One day I looked back at what I had been doing for years, and reality hit me like a freight train. I had to ask myself: Is this worth it? Is all this pain and sorrow worth abandoning Christ and my church? That’s when I realized how deeply I needed God and my church family.

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
    Proverbs 3:6

This is why the song touched me so much — because I never had to walk alone. God was with me the whole time, even when I refused His help and guidance. He carried me through every moment, even when I was rejecting Him.

“Even to your old age I am He… I will carry you; I will sustain you and rescue you.”
    Isaiah 46:4

I can honestly say this was the hardest road I’ve ever walked while being away from Christ and my church. But the prodigal daughter has come home — back to the Jesus who never left me, and back to the church family who welcomed me just as if I had never been gone.

“I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely.”
    Hosea 14:4

Jesus and my church received me with open arms, praising and rejoicing that God sent His Holy Spirit to nudge me back home.

“For this my daughter was dead and is alive again; she was lost and is found.”
    Luke 15:24

    And now I know…
I never have to walk alone again. 😄😄😄

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
    Hebrews 13:5

  4. “When Heaven Knows My Name” hits differently… 🙏 Do you think heaven knows us because of the life we live, the faith we carry, or simply because God knows every heart? ❤ What do you believe?
