Hi guys! Let me just share to you a short story. We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we just graduated college and were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. I started it out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second one currently under construction but launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.
Good stuff. I say: As long as we are pursuing Jesus faithfully, bringing all aspects of our lives to Him, eventually, I believe our purpose will find us. Real success is honoring our call as ambassadors of Christ & walking it out. If we place too much of an emphasis on "our purpose so to speak" we could potencially miss the mark? God has to be the main focus of course, remaining humble at all times. "Seek yea first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you". It is certainly a good thing to be purpose driven, focused, positive/ to have goals? I believe, as long as we keep our eyes on Jesus like a flint, our purpose will find usβstaying open at all times. Theirs so many facets to a believer, so many? Theirs certain gifts He bestows on each and every one of us, but truth be told: If we are really moldable/ ready for the Masters use, we need to be ready for anything that God chooses for us to do. Not all of us are ready. If it's owning a business, amen, and let it be HIS business dedicated fully to Him! Let it be all about Himβ¦ In my opinion, it needs to be Gods business always no matter what kind of business/ endeavor we attain. For myself, I know God is not through with me yet. Oh, I have not arrived. For a lot of us, He is working out the kinks. And, one must watch out for what is called the activity trap too?!! Many believers in ministry get so wrapped up in doing this and doing that but need to focus on the deep union Father desires to have with each and every one of us. "He who dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". Abidingβ¦.. God wants abiders. Wants to sup with us. This is what I want to focus on, *abiding*. This is success to me. I'm trying and I pray, in Jesus Mighty name that I get to that place in the Father that: No matter what state of being in life I'm in, I am filled with the assurance that all is well no matter what because I've given everything/ all unto Him. "Please help me Abba Father" π.
