Fasting is also important for your physical health. Cleansing your gut…by clearing out any potential parasites…and removing damaged cells from your body.
It’s sometimes difficult for me to fast because my mom notices I change my food patterns and then she starts to question things and it makes me annoyed it’s like I don’t want to tell her but she ends up finding out anyways and keeps coming at me
I have illnesses that make fasting very difficult for me and puts my health at further risk. I wish I could do a normal fast, but alas, I may never be able to. So, I have fasted on other things. If you have health issues that make fasting very difficult and even risk your health, you can fast from for example from watching videos on YouTube other than sermons for a week, or you can fast from TV, games, buying anything but essentials like food, or fast from social media, you can fast from many things and offer that time to God. It wont give you the same health benefits we know fasting from food does, but its still something, there is still effort in it you wish to give to God. There are options for those of us who are too ill to be able to perfectly fast from food and water, and God sees our efforts, and it feels wonderful to try and fast any way you can. Fasting isn't mandatory, but it is a lovely way to get closer to God. I just finished a 6 day fast on videos of any kind other than sermons, and just listened to sermons for one week. Honestly, one of the happiest weeks of my life❤

I actively hugged my sister and my niece and they gave me strange looks because for so many years I hated giving hugs and receiving them. Fasting has truly been a blessing and i give praise and blessings to the Lord God i. The name of Jesus.
God just healed me of an ED, and he is also telling me not to fast right now, but to fast from things other than food while I heal. Praise Jesus (I litterly woke up and thought about food which never happened)

I just finished a fast and I plan on doing it again.

If you are interested the orthodox Christians, oriental or eastern, fast very very regularly
