Yes Love is a package, but it does not include Respect. You respect people in authority without knowing them personally because you hold authority in high regard. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 defines what love is and what it’s not….respect is not included.

@Just Suzie hello. I value what you think but, pretty sure, we’re not thinking about the same feeling. What is love then? If you love you give, without having spectations. That person’s wellbeing comes first, even if this means letting go. How can you be a supporting partner, a sharing-life creating human being to another human being without respect? Respect is refered to being conscious of the other person’s dimension of life and appreciating it. But respect and love have to be reflected by your selfrespect and self-appreciation of love. There is where many of us don’t quite understand, and “get lost” in other feelings: possession, celousy, control… these aren’t loving expresions. You give, you share, you build towards others as you have in your emotions. Without respect: how can there be true love? It can’t. Love seeks for sharing, building, supporing freely. Without respect there isn’t freedom. You or the other one can’t even recognize it😔. Please, see this. I go further: when you love, truly love, you are devoted to the other person: how can devotion be if there wasn’t respect? I know from first hand that this is also for men, and that they seek love as we, women do. They don’t settle just with plain “respect” in relationships. I don’t quite understand what that is… maybe these person in the audio is more refering to fear than to love… but no. I live with 4 men, work with several men, there are more men than women in my family: they seek for tenderness, caring, sharing, constructing, corresponding relationships. Nor “fearful” ones in which they aren’t seen as partners.

@Amina Zaria , Colossians 3:19: “Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.” The word for love there is _agapao_ , translated as, “To welcome, to entertain, to be fond of, to love dearly.” Bible commands a man to love his wife, and and commands a woman to respect her husband. But you are proving my second point (which you didn’t even acknowledge), where I said that women are not even thinking the same things that men are thinking, when they hear the words “love” OR “respect.”
