  1. I am now 50 and I still have PTSD to this day. My parents had sent me to a conversion therapy church in Tunica, MS. It was a nightmare. It was mentally challenging. Thus movie brought it all back 🙁

  2. What happened to Alex Cooper was heartbreaking and wrong, no matter how anyone tries to justify it. That kind of abuse—emotional, mental, physical—is not Christlike, and it’s not what our faith teaches. The Savior never forced anyone into righteousness. He healed, invited, taught with love, and gave people room to choose. Even when people sinned, He offered grace, not cruelty.

It’s sad and unfair when media presents all Mormons as if we’re represented by the worst examples. There are people in every group who act out of fear or pride instead of faith and love. But that doesn’t reflect the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Abuse is abuse, and it should never be excused under the name of religion. What that girl went through was traumatic and isolating, and I believe Heavenly Father wept for her.

  3. I love my daughter and my son ,no matter to me what they like or do as long as they are safe and happy and dont harm anyone else , im not at the end yet but i hope those evil monsters go to jail where they belong.

  4. I am a Christian and I would never and could never subject my child or support anyone who would be ok with subjecting their children to this sort of "treatment"
Her parents were cold towards her! my Lord 🥺🥺🥺

  5. I could not reconcile with my parents and this. You cannot tell me they loved her at all. If i saw bruises of abuse on my child those “care takers” would be 6ft down with a one way ticket to see their god.
This would have entirely killed my belief in god if i were her too. How awful people still di this to their kids

  6. Conversion Therapy isn't therapy it's abuse…. Yet 33 states still allow it on minors seriously 😢😢😢😢😢😢😭💔💔💔💔💔💔 love your child unconditionally…… Period point blank!!!!

  7. It is wildly scary to think this happens in real life and that its okay for this to occur. No wonder young people want nothing to do with religion or god. This is not godly behavior by any means no matter what bible beater says otherwise. Religion is wrong, mormonism is wrong and disgusting and all of this religious bs about obeying gods word and loving who "god" wants you to is nonsense and gross. I hate religion. I cant stand this is the world we live in. Religion is useless in the grand scheme of things. And its so cult like.
