My wife past away yesterday, Christmas Eve, 2022. I am listening to this as I find it comforting. I am unable to stop seeing her laying on the gurney with the Intubation tube was still in her with blood on the side of her face and neck. Since she had died due to a heart attack according to the doctor, there's no reason why she hadn't been cleaned and the tube not removed. From what I read on line had she died from any other reason than a heart attack such a murder, only the coroner would have to give the okay to remove the tube. It was like the doctor and nurse(s) had total disrespect for her and the family. I felt like they looked at her as something other than a human being that was waiting to be disposed of.
My family is scatter across the country with the oldest grandson stationed on with Air Force on Lajes Air Base in the Azores. I called the Red Cross from the ER to set in motion the ability for the squadron commander to grant an emergency leave. Had I not contacted the Red Cross, my grandson would not be given an emergence leave as the Red Cross is the only organization the military accepts before granting an emergency leave.
Now we, my daughter, grandson and I have to do a lot of cleaning before family arrives. Problem is the carpeting in the living room and another room has poop and urine stains on them as the dog thinks it's okay to poop and pee in the house. I take her out every three or four hours and she does peep outside yet rarely will poop outside.
My wife so wanted the house decorated for Christmas. Myself, I have an edema of my spine which makes standing and walking nearly impossible at times. The only relief I get from the pain is sitting. My daughter isn't doing much better. Neither of us tried to decorate the house as a result.
My wife has the best Christmas now, safely in the arms of Jesus. You couldn't ask for a better Christmas. No more sorrow, no more pain. Just the love of God and Christ as well as family members that preceded her. Oh God it hurts so much. There will be a viewing and per her many request she will be cremated. Please pray for us in this, our time of grief. God bless
