God could have had an evil person kill another evil person so that no innocent person had to pull the switch, many times in the old testimate God uses evil people to destroy evil people. So yes God could have used that evil man to kill the evil man like what happened to Jeffery Dommer in his cell. God can use a mouse if he wants.
It's sad that brotherly love exist so little and we have been so polluted by sin that we think brotherly love is sticking it where it's filthy, and this of men who genuinely loved each other like brothers and people think its gay because they are confused by today's message of brotherly love.
There is a story like this, what is the source? When Jesus said that the one without sin cast the first stone, according to one claim, the virgin Miriam picks up the stone from the ground but cannot hit it.
Then jesus says wait mom, you were leaving me and going somewhere when I was little? Where is the source of this story?
I so agree with the lady question about homosexual vs fornication. Please re look at this. I understand the issue being front and center with the homosexual political agendas today. And it being a great move of Satan in our country and the world, but at the same time there is a valid issue hear with a lack of emphasis on heterosexual sin. It is even more acceptable in the morals of society today. So what if we had given the same attention to the failing morality relating to sex out of wed lock back when it began running rampage, perhaps we would not be where we are today. So we shouldn't make that mistake again, but we need to start incorporating heterosexual sin right along with homosexual sin. That is one issue , the other is when our focus is predominantly on homosexual sin, while at least seemingly over looking or downplaying heterosexual sin, it fuels the fire and adds credence to the forces that would have everyone think Christians are that says we are cruel hateful people who in prejudice manor are focusing in on one sector of individuals magnifying their sins and worthlessness for above that of non heterosexual sinful fallen man. . We must let the love of Christ shine bright and the truth of the word stand firm. else we . I WE ourselves within the body may start building up thinking our sins are not as crimson as the next guys. I think they should be taught together because they are both rebellion against God holy design
Something to consider. Perhaps Satan was cast out of heaven unable to return after his rebellion. But upon planning he found that by getting Adam to sin he would take upon himself the dominion given to Adam (…to whom you yield yourself servant to obey, his you are…). In Job, the “sons of God” come to present themselves before the Lord. Jesus says that the angels “ever behold the face of the father” (paraphrasing). So why would the “sons of God”, if angels, come to present themselves before Him if they are ever before Him already? Perhaps the sons of God aren’t angels. In the context of Satan’s answer to God’s question, “From whence comest thou?” Satan responds by claiming his dominion over the earth. Could it be, therefore, that the “sons of God” are unfallen rulers from other world’s (similar to Adam), satan therefore having the right to be among them as “prince of this world”? So, perhaps, satan was indeed cast out, as mentioned in Revelation, in reference to his rebellion long ago. But, after gaining dominion over this earth he gained access back to heaven. But, once Jesus gained His glorious victory for us, He obtained “all power over heaven AND EARTH” and Satan was indeed cast out for good, bound to the earth with us, this time “with great wrath knowing that he hath but a short time”. I’m not too sure yet, but Revelation 12 possibly mentions 2 casting-out’s of satan.
And since I know the question may arise, I do not believe the Sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6 are angels. I believe they are humans beings who were of the lineage of Seth (God’s people) who lowered the standard of righteousness and decided it was okay to be “unequally yoked with” unbelieving “daughters of men”. This union smudged the line between truth and error and eventually the world became wicked beyond measure and thus the history of the flood. Why were giants mentioned after presenting this union? I believe it’s has more to do with coincidence than purpose. If you honestly read the text, it doesn’t necessarily say that BECAUSE of the union of the sons of God with the daughters of men, therefore giants came forth. Perhaps it mentions them together with reason sure, but not necessarily to link them together as cause and effect.
David and Johnathan ,were love each other ,like brother in GOD,sharing and feeling same love as we feel like brothers and sister at church ,like member of the body of Christ.
I am not mocking the Bible, this is a serious question. Why are we not all jews? If Noah and his sons were jews (and I'm assuming their wives were too) where did the gentiles come from. Yes, some would have left the Jewish faith, but wouldn't they still look like Jews? How did Chinese people come from a Jewish heritage?
GOSSIP: one of the ten commandments, do not bear false witness. If you are not a witness to something you heard about and you tell someone else about what you heard about, you dont know if you are bearing false witness and therefore it should be assumed you dont 'know' the truth about the event. You can say "I heard this and that happened today" and then speculate the truth amongst your company, but it is not right to spread word of mouth around for the purposes of passing judgement and condemnation.
Although we all do this for the purpose of safety in preventing certain situations such as to prevent influence on those you love, discretion is advised.
The bible says to confess your sins among one another. But if you confess your sins to someone and that person goes and tells others your sins so they can judge you and humiliate you further, that is definitely gossip and I consider that an extremely filthy act.
Pastor Mike, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this q&a. For all of the questions of course, but specifically for God using your teaching to help me understand for the very first time the idea of God's sovereignty juxtaposed with human free will.
I came to Christ in Spring of 2020 and have found myself holding a reformed faith for nearly 2 years. The first time I heard your Biblical objection to Calvinism I strongly opposed it, so much so that your words weren't getting through.
I've since binge watched dozens of your videos and recommend the to everyone because I appreciate so wholeheartedly your approach to thinking biblically, being willing to accurately state the oppositional view rather than avoid it, and using SCRIPTURE to teach us the truth.
I recently watched the Biblical objection to Calvinism vid again and was able to hear your points. I still didn't agree 100% but I almost find myself wanting to. Not because I wanna agree w Mike Winger. But because I desperately wanna agree with God's Word and also overcome my misunderstanding on free will. It paralyzes me into inaction.
I listen to many reformed teachers like Steve Lawson, John MacArthur, R.C. Sproul, Voddie Baucham, etc and what they say makes so much sense during the vid, and I do find their teachings make sense to my linited understanding, and it's also what tend to I find in the Bible when I just read it on my own (I came to this belief before finding reformed theology) including how they say that the idea of free will isn't in the Bible. (Admittedly, I'm about 5 books shy of reading the entire thing)
BUUUUUT the idea of God already having chosen people stops me from sharing the gospel almost always. He'll save His ppl even if I do nothing and I'll get one less jewel on a crown in heaven or something, is the sort of thought process that I deal with. I can tell it's wrong, but I can't get past it.
AND FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER through this video, I was able to comprehend what you taught. That God knows what we are going to do and he does NOT want us to sin, but he does allow us to make mistakes etc. He's not a helicopter parent in that sense. (Even though He is absolutely THERE the whole time 😂)
I'm sorry this comment is so long and idk if you'll ever read it. But I wanted you to know I'm grateful for the work you do for the Kingdom and to help us understand the Word of God better. Thank you.

Mike does this hypothetical question help salve calvinism? If a predestined person dies before they accept Jesus will they go to heaven? If you answer yes then the predestination happened at birth or before which would mean Jesus is not needed on the cross. But if you answer no then a faith step is needed for salvation. Both answers seem to go against a calvinistic perspective. I so want your thoughts on my weird question.
It amazes me that Jeptha would say what he said, because anything coming out of his house is most likely to be a human, from my perspective-yet he says it like it’s an object. I’m not understanding where his head was at that point. Extremely foolish, though.
Angel means messenger. Angels are not heavenly beings. The spirits in heaven are elohim, not angels.
Demons are not fallen angels. Demons are the disembodied spirits of the Nephilim who died during the Flood. There are no more fallen angels. They are chained in outer darkness already, per Peter, and are not in rebellion on Earth today.
There is no such thing as Satan taking one third of the angels in rebellion. The verse about the dragon taken the stars out is metaphorical language about the disasters of the end times along with all the imagery about the whore of Babylon, the beast from the sea, the four horsemen, etc. There is no literal reference to Satan convincing 1/3 of the elohim to rebel against God. People have interpreted the dragon sweeping stars out of the sky as Satan taking 1/3 of the angels in rebellion, but there is no indication in scripture that this is what the original authors intended. These folks don't bother to explain how this rebellion can be occurring in Revelation if Satan was already on Earth tempting Eve in Genesis. It's a blatant contradiction that's so common people don't even stop to think about it. Satan cannot be rebelling in heaven in Revelation when he was already cursed to roam the Earth in Genesis.
Cherubim and Seraphim are higher orders of elohim.
The fallen angels fell in the Old Testament, not in Revelation, and they fell in 3 separate distinct events, not one rebellion, and we're never told how many of them rebelled, it isn't 1/3. They are referred to in Genesis 3, Genesis 6, Deuteronomy 32, and in Psalm 82. Both Peter and Jude refer to the rebellion as already having occurred in the New Testament well before Revelation was written.
The vast majority of Christians, including pastors and theologians, have no idea what they're talking about with angels and demons. What they think they know is fiction from novels like Paradise Lost and Dante's Divine Comedy, not from scripture. We live in a time when Christians are embarrassed to look foolish in secular society, so they interpret scriptures in obviously wrong manners in an attempt to make them seem less supernatural. So they try to pretend the divine council mentioned in Job doesn't exist, that the sons of God in Psalm 82 are Jewish rabbis, that the elohim put in charge of the nations at the Tower of Babel were human sons of Israel – another blatant contradiction, since Israel did not yet exist in that point of the Old Testament, that Paul is just referring to vague generalities when he talks about the powers and principalities, they ignore the Prince of Persia and the sentence of the Watchers from Daniel being references to elohim, etc. The West has been on a centuries-long effort to make the Bible "respectable" in the eyes of atheists and scientists by leaving only God and Jesus and explaining away the rest of the supernatural elements of the scriptures.
Good answers. Thought 'Even if there was a Homo-sexual couple it wouldn't justify the sin, just as David's actions with Bathsheba wasn't.' 'Demons and fallen angels the same? My thought is yes they are enemies of God working for evil, there purpose is the same what does it matter if they don't look the same? It's like asking is a white man the same as black? There are differences but treat them as the same. But why do you need to know? and there are somethings we don't need to know, we shouldn't know or even want to find out. Demons are not the ones we should want to know.
It’s not a matter of Michael the Archangel not having the authority to kill Satan. Satan says Moses served him, Michael retorted, the Lord rebuke you idiot!! “Don’t argue with The Devil 👿 just say the lord rebuke you” that’s the true understanding of the text.
Killing is always wrong! God is a creator. God is patiently trying to get all men to understand. He is not a murderer at any time. Sin and people who do sin are murderers. People who follow false god's "directions to murder" are wrong. ❤
Hello I’m lost for words right now and quite frankly shocked. You see we have a new intern pastor and for Easter I put up the white sheet on our sanctuary cross like we always have but the intern took it down and said we could never do that again it shows disrespect and sin for doing that. Mind you when he was coming to our church and our most recent pastor just retired he never said a word about it until he became an intern pastor. And at Christmas he said we’re not doing advent either. What is going on? All my life we have always done these 2 things no matter what denomination it was that it was always done in a respectful manner. He keeps saying it’s not Biblical on everything. So is this man correct in saying these things . I don’t know what to think about it! Help
“Thou shall not murder “ the Bible is not subjective a man who kills another even in self defense is a killer but that man is justified and saved through the blood of Christ and since sin is the same it is the same thing as any other sin the only difference is the world consequences
If a Christian understands, at a minimum, the Deuteronomy 32 world view they would also understand why the slaughter of the Canaanites was necessary – and not for righteousness alone but also for the survival of the Hebrews.
That’s like saying it was okay for lots daughters to get him drunk and get pregnant by him because it’s in the Bible. The Bible describes things that happen in human lives (news flash humans are sinful and imperfect)

"The nature of demons" Grow up Mike.
yeah so now i'm questioning again and Adventureland is in my head not Des Moines somebody stop this coaster

Why the word " begotten" removed in one of the Bible versions
None of these were even close to tough questions. As usual mike takes a tactical dodge to scrutiny.
Question, is there 2 passovers high n regular

Did God make Judas to turn on Jesus?
It is YT, NOT Pastor Mike, who highlights these Antichrist comments from Non Believers. Social media is evil and you MUST be careful in it.
