I heard all through my teens and my twenty's that I looked like Linda Blair. Long before I saw "The Exorcist". She's a couple of years older then me. Not something you wanna hear. I didn't see the resemblance until she did the movie "Roller Boogie" and her hair was curly too. And some others movies she did. Now we're older we look nothing alike. Btw..""Beyond the Door" was really scary too.
The poltergeist and, exorcist! Are my favorites! Because those films so I've researched are cursed. the cast got harmed or dead etc! Like bad things happened. I know in poltergeist things were all messed up for the actors, actresses!
While The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a good movie it's incredibly disrespectful as Anneleise ("Emily") was a girl suffering from epilepsy, depression and schizophrenia who was neglected by her parents and the Church because of their religious (not even beliefs, delusions) she died of starvation and dehydration.
The OG Wicker Man is cool and very atmospheric. I found Howie really unlikeable, though, He was pretentious, self-righteous and very close-minded and judgemental. The remake is hilariously bad. Even people who haven't seen the movies know the infamous BEES scene and all the memes it spawned.
I know that it's not a movie. Rather, it's a limited series. But still, I highly recommend Mike Flanagan's "Midnight Mass," if you're interested in horror with religious themes.

The Exorcist was not all that great in my opinion. It’s overrated honestly

Also the film 'Stigmata' from 1999.
"What have u done to its eyes"
Hereditary was boring and just underwhelming in my opinion.
"If you like what you're hearing" – we don't. We NEVER DO.

I think Deliver us from Evil should've been on this list
Stigmata?

The Believers would've been a great honorable mention
Hereditary above The Omen, get outta here.
Ah ah ah The exorcism of Emily rose should be number 1 and number 2 The Rite and Number 3 The Exorcist.
There is so many missing from this list.
Religious Horrors are the scariest ones 😳 Glad Carrie made the list. Margaret White scared the s— outta me as a kid.
Children of the corn should be on this list.
