  1. Can you please show me in the Bible, where it says that you cannot wear a crop top, leggings, or fitted clothing. The Bible does not give these specifications when it comes to modesty. This is what man has decided is immodest due to misogynistic views and judgement. I have an amazing relationship with Christ, and I completely comfortable wearing crop tops and shorts and leggings at appropriate times.

  2. Modesty is the same for all people who claim to be a believer AND follower of Christ. There’s many different modest styles that all have 1 thing in common, NOT showing off body shape or skin
Christians are normalizing being lukewarm , to show off their bodies cause they love the attention.

  3. This is why our faith is not being taken seriously. SMH. This mentality of “you do what you want and I do what I want” instead of obeying God. SMH. Women of God should not be wearing tight, body curves showing clothes, not should they wear crop tops and tops that show cleavage. It’s just basic logic if you don’t wanna be a stumbling block for the brothers. And actually respect yourself and not portray yourself as sex/lust object. Why would any true Godly women wanna wear outfits that show off her body? Like.. isn’t she much more than her body?? Ask yourself this sisters.

  4. Just know that being a follower of christ and having such a big audience through social media is a GREAT responsibility. Earnestly pray that the words you utter on this platform don't come from you but from God , the Holy Spirit . Proverbs 14:12 Remember this verse and pray from guidance from above. We ought to live for God not ourselves. Ps I'm also struggling with dressing to honor God and his temple

  5. we should be dressing to attract attention to our faces, not our bodies. if you feel like ur outfit may draw more attention to ur body than ur face, it’s probably not modest. that isnt always the case tho. i do sorta agree and disagree w this post

  6. Question for some of y’all in the comments, are shoulders immodest? Based on what I’m seeing in the comments tight clothing , tights, leggings, all that is immodest? I get crop tops but do we need to be covered up completely or something? Confused honestly

I’ve heard not even shorts are ok , anyone have any scriptures to back this all up.
I get we shouldn’t cause other people to sin but if the person is sinning that’s their fault not just ours.

  7. Modesty shouldn't be relative. It should be according to godly standards. You can look cute but covered up. I know some people can be judgment but the truth is the truth no matter how it is put.
I'm 23 and I love looking good, but if I have to compromise in order to achieve that, I'd rather drop.
Lastly, there's something like being a stumbling block. What Jesus said about it is quite scary.
Let's be careful and still beautiful❀

  8. Hello sister, You are correct with having your own convictions from God. and I feel like the more time you spend with Christ Jesus and grow with him over time certain things that you didn’t feel convicted about at one point, will eventually be something you will now have convictions for. and it’s a daily thing to do and to submit to the will of the Lord. And it’s not always easy bc the flesh is hardheaded, but ask God to show you how he sees you and others. Also pray that he changes your heart and mind and that he gives you his desires, and wants to be more like Christ; and to have a renewed heart and mind. And over time lil by lil one day At a time you might not wear crop tops no more, or you might feel the urge to wear a shirt underneath it. so just bring it to God sister is the best advise I have for you. Really pray and meditate on it. and really talk with God on the topic I promise you He will Reveal things to you, could be in a dream, could be from a video, a vision, and etc. so just keep God in the forefront and be open minded to change and be willing to be obedient, bc God knows what we need and it’s not always about what we want. so just be willing to submit to his will and if you aren’t, ask God to help you submit. All of our relationships with Christ are different and it’s all personal so don’t focus to much on what everybody else is saying or doing, that doesn’t mean not to listen at all for guidance. But that just means at the end of the day we are here to bring Glory unto the kingdom of God, Not man, the world or ourselves. Also it depends on what leadership you are following as well; for example, do I think you will go to hell for simple make up or nails? no, but if your pastor or leadership that is over you says don’t partake in it and you do, then it becomes sin from disobedience not necessarily bc you wore blush or pink nails but bc of your disobedience just an example. I hope this was helpful for you I know it is something I am currently battling myself, and like I said before it is a daily submission so don’t beat yourself up bc you don’t have it all together in one day. This past 6 months for me looking back I can see how I’ve changed over time. so give yourself grace sister God loves you and He doesn’t expect you to be perfect or for you to do it all in one day. As long as you are trying day by day and putting Gods will for your life before your own that’s what matters.
Also this doesn’t mean you have to give up stylish things, or ideas for modesty just might have to be more creative. “With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible”. So if you think being modest means you have to give up style or fashion take it to God he will show you you can have style and modesty. Remember God knows the desires of your heart. And if you are doing His will for your life, He will show you ways on how you can still let your personality, or style or whatever it is shine through ✹. And still be glorifying and edifying unto God. So Don’t put God in a box that is a mistake we all are guilty of. We try to put God in a box and we can’t , He is outside of our realm. Gods thoughts are higher than ours, His desires are higher than ours and etc
..I hope this bless you and others in Jesus name amen love you my sister and take care â€ïžđŸ™đŸŸ @britttanyrose

  9. The only time I feel convicted about wearing a crop top is if I are too much and I have a pudge 😂😂 God never had me feeling convicted about it because he knows my heart and that I worship in praise him on a daily. There are people that dress modestly for non religious purposes but they do not have the soul or heart of God in them. He does not care about worldly things but our heart and soul. Jesus has said this so many times. He will never make us feel bad about doing things as long as our intentions are pure. So if I am wearing a crop top it’s because “I” want think it’s cute on me . I never think or care to think if someone else will. Of course if you are trying to sexualize yourself the intention are not pure. But if you are literally wearing it because it is for you then your intentions are clearly pure. Simple if you have conviction in you, don’t do it if you don’t then do it . Your relationship with God matters most and that conviction feeling will let you know what is right or what is wrong simple.

  10. wearing immodest clothing that leaves no mystery to the body is not what christianity teaches.
i know the struggle tho, 🙁 i am growing in my faith & i have a hard time liking many modest clothing options
but i do desire to dress modest bc that is what glorifies God the most. dressing in a way that makes your body look "sexy" because you are showing your body is the opposite of that.
this is one of the crosses we must carry in order to follow Jesus, surrendering our desire to fit in with everyone else who dresses to glorify their body shapes.
i also love wearing a lot of makeup, but i am working on trying to be more modest for God.

it may be difficult, but i will give up anything for God because my own desires are not what i idolize. God's will is what i live for, not my own.

  11. Oh wow dear. Thats just not biblical at all. The bible does show us how we should dress and the intention of covering our bodies and not showing our torso and thighs and other certain parts of us. The Bible calls it nakedness. See alot christians still think its ok to be sexy even in a modest way but no God makes it very clear in the old and new testaments about showing our bodies in any sensual way. I do commend you for seemingly having a relationship with Christ but please study this some more because you're not teaching on this correctly and I do say this love not hate. I want us all to learn and go to heaven. God bless🙏

  12. The only thing that gets me with people who talk about modesty is that they follow one part of it, but not all parts. The same Christians who will talk about a woman or man "showing skin" are the same ones who wear expensive attire, even if it's for their birthday They wear Gucci, Fendi, Prada, expensive jewelry, etc. They wear hair jewelry, color their hair, etc. The Bible also say not to do that, but everyone just focuses on the "showing skin". Also, showing skin is not sinful. The Word does say to be "shamefaced", but that doesn't mean that I can't show ANY of my skin. People take things too literally and way too extremely. The same women who will speak against "showing skin" are the same ones who don't cover their hair/heads in prayer and in church. You can't focus on one part and not the other. And as already mentioned earlier, modesty is instructed for both men and women in the Bible, not just one or the other.

  13. That’s girl was not modest and modesty as a Christian should be base on what the Bible has to say about it.
Sorry my dear, it’s God will be done , not my will be done.

Yes , we all have personal style, but we as believers we can work on it; why being modest in the Lord eyes or according to God will.
If you let the Holy Spirit leads , he will direct you on godly modesty.đŸ«¶đŸŸđŸ™đŸŸ

  14. I believe that as a Christian, the question you should be asking yourself is that; will God like it if his daughter is dressed like this?
Will this dress i am putting on glorify God?

Remember that in all you do, it must glorify God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

  15. No, modesty is not relative. Gods word and instruction does not change because society or culture does. They werent judgemental either, Jesus told the israelites to judge righteously. You wouldnt dress a certain way in front of God or Jesus but when regular folks call you out, out comes all the mental gymnastics and gas lighting.

  16. Modesty in Christianity means that you must wear non revealing clothing. If you really wanna get into traditional Christian dress for women you would be wearing a baggy full one peice dress long sleeves and wearing a veil. Men are expected to grow long hair and have beards and wear non revealing clothing. This is in multiple verses and the bible is clear that women need to dress modestly your legs should not be showing and nether is your stomach. Mens modesty and clothing is in levitcus 19:20. Timothy 2:9 mentions womens modestly expectations. If you wanna talk about traditional Christian modesty for men and women go to Africa or the middle east and go into a Assyrian Orthodox church and see how they dress. They dress like ancient Christians, men wear robes or baggy pants, and women wear dresses with a a veil. You may have a relationship with god he has one with everyone but you are not a Christian unless you act like one or dress like one. Many traditional churches wouldn't even let you in the building dressing like that. It may not seem like a big deal for you but the whole point of being Christian is to not be of the world. We do not follow modren worldy fashion trends. This is how many Christians are rasied and they will nag you on it which they should. Many Christians have fallen to the world and its trends such as pre martial sex, non modest dressing, drugs, and hate. You can come back from all that and leave it behind you but don't expect to be treated like a Christian if you don't dress or act like one.

  17. Be prayerful and watchful, watch who you listen to and never stop praying and seeking God for understanding. I honestly don't believe the Lord wants us showing our stomachs as Christian women and men(to appease the y'all never say nothing about the men crowd) honestly that's not modest dressing( if you look up the meaning and definition). You have to go beyond "Christian influencers" just because your favorite influencer who proclaim to be Christian says it's okay doesn't make it okay. Selah

  18. “Come out from among them and be ye separate says the lord.” Is what the Bible says, as Christians, we have to set aside what the world does, and do what GOD wants us to do. Think, if Jesus was here, standing in front of you, would you really want him to see you with your stomach hanging out, skin tight short shorts, etc? If you crossed over, and stood in front of God, would you really say,”I don’t think modesty is what people say it is”, your opinion doesn’t change what GOD says! Brothers and sisters, don’t listen to people who say things like “that’s old lady mentality”, we are called to be different, and represent Christ, don’t be like the world and follow their examples, follow CHRIST, be DIFFERENT, be HUMBLE, be MODEST, be who God called you to be!
