  1. Edwards was a great athlete and spoke to many young people at church gatherings and influenced many. However, the tragedy which marrs all of his achievements was that he very publicly chose to reject his Christian faith. So went from being a great winner to being an ultimate loser in that he forfeited his very own soul.

  2. Den größten Sieg seines Lebens vollbrachte er in meinen Augen außerhalb der Sprunggrube. Von einem ultraorthodoxen Christen vollführte er in wenigen Jahrzehnten den Sprung zur Ablehnung des Christentums. BRAVO!

  3. Why don't they just adjust the reading to account for the wind. It can't be that difficult. Besides, how fair is it that a jump with a 2.0 wind reading is considered (legally) above one that is 1 cm shorter at a 0.0 reading (or even less)?

  4. Gazelle, incredible each step, each jump, special tehnic who must follow w/lentissimo, for each step, jump the two hands go in front from back in same time to prepare a big front propulsion and a big step, etc. Never in my atleth life I did't think for this tehnic. 6m+6m+6m=18m. To have 6m step, jump, etc. it is not easy. The accumulate cinetic energy must keep for each step, jump and it is a secret to be discovered after more, more practic. Now, I'm 72 year old.
