WOW π³ this is a lesson after my wedding i didn't open gift till one year π π . i even left them in church my pastor had to call to tell me to come carry your gift oh ππ even after that i asked someone to take it to my mom's place. Lo and behold was a clock that never works. A brand new clock. Found out later it was evil. It came from a church member. No name was written on the package unlike other gifts. A particular one came long after the wedding but I heard a voice saying I should never take it home.
The woman who brought it started hating on me. I found out later that she had already previously suggested my husband to marry her sister and was angry with him that he married me.
A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian, and an open door for manipulation, how can you not pray after your wedding, not even a thank you to God ? and not praying before opening the gifts?
When her friend told her to be careful of the people she listens to. And sometimes, the fact that people are going through the same issue with you does not mean you should listen to their counsel. That part hit me hard π«°πΌπ₯π₯π₯
