The Holy Spirit's role is to glorify and manifest Jesus. He takes what is Jesus' and gives it to us. All Jesus has is from the Father. So his role is not to glorify himself. He is God indeed, but has a special role in the Trinity. You will notice that John says we have fellowship with the Father and with his Son. But he does not include the Holy Spirit. He says, "What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete." You will notice that Paul never greets his churches with Grace and peace to you from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not included. The reason is because we have fellowship with God by the Holy Spirit. That is his role. He manifests the Father and the Son to us (John 14). Plus, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of both the Father and the Son, so it would be redundant so include him in a greeting. Amen?
Bro. It was the Catholic church that issued how many anathemas toward the Protestants?? So we are the worse than "separated brethren," we are, according to them, cursed and cut off. Now they are attempting damage control saying those anathemas were not that bad. Yes they were! As they meant it at the time it was not soft. It was the RC church that has veered off track and Luther and others were trying to get it back on track, trying to reform it. They didn't receive it and kicked him out. Then the anathemas followed. So according to them we are anathema. Don't be duped. Oh, and keep in mind, they say now the anathema just means excommunicated. Ah, but that means you are out of their "true church" and so condemned.

I fully understand what Dr. Healy meant by a high-octane encounter with the Holy Spirit. When I was in high school, our Pentecostal neighbor invited us to their service, and I can still recall how my heart was filled with such warmth that it burst, and tears flowed uncontrollably down my face. I even spoke in a strange language I could not understand.
Despite that experience, I stayed in the Catholic Church. I went astray for years, but in 2023 the Father called me back home when He “broke my heart to save my soul.” God, the Holy Spirit, never left me. I just realized I am deeply Catholic, though not acting like most Catholics. Now I cannot wait for Sunday Mass, because there I feel the real presence of the Holy Spirit—the Spirit Jesus promised to take His place on earth.
During the Liturgy of the Eucharist, tears always flow down my face as my heart bursts with love for Jesus. It is often embarrassing, so before Mass begins I pray to God not to let me cry every time. I dread forgetting to bring tissue to wipe my tears, which does happen once in a while. I try to hold back, but then my nose runs instead. Oh dear Holy Spirit! Why is my Church so meek?
Recently, I noticed I am not the only one who sheds tears during this part of the Mass. Like me, others quietly hide their tears. I pray that God will move our Catholic leaders to stop saying it is “normal” not to feel anything in prayer or at Mass. That is not normal! What is normal is being filled with the Holy Spirit, who humbles us with tears like a child’s. For as Jesus emptied Himself for us, so too are we emptied through grace for the Holy Spirit to dwell in our bodies, which are His temple.
Praise be to God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Gift of Love proceeding from the Father and the Son!
It is not entirely accurate to say that Jesus was "baptized with the Holy Spirit" when he was baptized by John the Baptist, as this phrase can imply that Jesus received the Holy Spirit for the first time during His baptism. Instead, traditional Christian theology, particularly within Catholic and Orthodox traditions, holds that Jesus, as the second Person of the Trinity, was always fully united with the Holy Spirit from the moment of His Incarnation, possessing the fullness of divinity. Look up the heresies of modalism and adoptionism.

I am a 80 yo Catholic Latin mass goer and I have been baptised in the Holy Spirit. This video blew me away because of the way you both clicked and were united in your approach to the Holy Spirit. I have often thought that even though I love the holiness of the Latin Mass I feel sad that most Latin Mass goers are missing out on a huge part of what God has to offer in the Charismatic Renewal.

I don’t agree with the statement of what is better. The Catholic mass is the is truly all we need but if you don’t participate in this “obligation” then the you are blocking the Holy spirited to speak to you.

This is something I love seeing. While I have my disagreements with the RCC, this they have right.

I never heard any one say Catholic Church history or Protestant church history. I’ve only heard Early Church History
