This is very good. There's so much unnecessary division over doctrinal branches instead of roots that really weakens the Body. As a Oneness believer, sometimes I find tremendous animosity from Trinitarians & toward Trinitarians because we get hung up on the word "Trinity." It breaks my heart. I see my own weakness in this & will strive to do better, including in how I talk about the concept of "Trinity." This sermon blessed me greatly, thank you.
I love these sermons and lectures; I have learned and grown so much. I exhausted every video and have gone back for “round two”! God be praised forever! 🙌🏼✝️❤️🕊️
Why the book of Job has attracted my attention over the past five or six years I don't understand. My life is not at all like Job's life. Likely, the same for all in todays world
Here is my opinion as to why Spurgeon may have selected this passage: Job, according to the book, was upright and likely the same for the three friends and possibly also the young man, Elihu.
At the end of the book Job is not directed to make any sacrifices for Elihu.
It seems that Spurgeon parallels this teaching of blindness as to the needs and reality of the situation as recorded of the 'advice' of learned people throughout the book
Job never waivered in understanding and focusing on The Redeemer to come.
"Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen" (Matt. 6:13).
Paul wrote in Philippians 3:1, "Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord…" And in Philippians 4:4, he wrote, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again, I say rejoice."
Psalm 144:15 tells us, “Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!"
The only true happiness is found in Jesus Christ.❤

The only voice that should be reading Spurgeon
♦"Religion began when the first scoundrel met the first fool."
♦"Only fools revere the supernatural bs just bc a book claims it's the holy truth."
♦"Religion is founded on the fear & gullibility of many & the cleverness of few."
♦"The delusional religious zealots are cocksure & the intelligent full of doubt."
♦"The religious believe by the millions what only lunatics may believe on their own."
♦"It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they've been fooled."
♦"It's difficult to free the religious from the chains they revere."
♦“To have faith is precisely to lose one's mind so as to win God.”
♦"The death of dogma is the birth of morality."
♦"Religion fools many bc the brain is susceptible to hallucination & gullibility."
This blessed me so so so much. Oh Lord, to have the understanding and faith of Spurgeon!
