Marriage rates are plummeting. Faith in Jesus Christ has taken a nosedive. Are these related? What can we do to fix it?

  1. Now, the church will be overthrown regardless of whether it is in the United States or Korea. (I'm from South Korea) It's already plummeting. It will accelerate further. The era of feeling safe while living a religious life comfortably is over. So, more and more 'people who truly love and obey Jesus' will leave the church and seek God, while those who enjoy religious life because it is comfortable and those who still have not been able to escape from religious life will live their whole lives filled with depression and self-blame in legalism. I guess. God is not confined within the church. Jesus is not someone who can be confined by being confined in a framework created by humans. Now the church will be greatly ruined and a great change will occur. God is always looking for one person, whether inside or outside the church, to follow Him, hear His voice, and obey Him.
    Fake things will be filtered out and only the real things will stand before God. The world will see a completely transformed ‘Christianity’, or rather, communities and organizations of people who have become the ‘Body of Jesus’.

  2. I left at 19. The church is hypocritical and actively hate women. No, your churches would not be full today because you are out of touch and hateful. If there's a decline in populations, it is the Church's fault.

  3. The main stream churches stopped talking about how or even heaven. The fear of hell has always been the main factor forcing people to go to church. Before modern science and medicine, they also prayed for cures,,, health, better crops, etc. but now people no longer rely upon religion for all those answers..

  4. My parents were married for 40 years until my mother passed away. I've never been Christian and never will be nor is anyone in my immediate family Christian and we are all thankful that we weren't brought up in some make believe fantasy world that is so contradictory and in many cases disgusting.

  5. I'm a Christian and I don't know if I agree with this. I don't go to church because it's hard to imagine fitting in with people I don't know. I struggle with not belonging. I'm more conservative than people my age but less so than older people. I feel like most churches are just a social outlet, which is fine. If you just go to listen to the sermon and leave, what's the point? But that's usually what I do if I visit a church. And another thing I hate to admit is that my faith doesn't feel real to me. Not that it isn't real. I do believe in Jesus but we're 2000 years removed from the NT era. I can't talk to God face-to-face. I don't understand how you can have a relationship with someone you can't see or hear from. Other Christians go on and on about how evil and wicked we all are. Not that I think humans are inherently good. But that wears you down after awhile hearing that. And the eternal conscious torment view of hell is unsettling. Despite all this, I still want to believe. I don't know what's wrong with my brain that I can't experience God like other people. Plus Christians are so divided. We can't agree on anything. There's some weird stuff going on in these churches. I know people are bothered by the hypocrisy of Christians but that doesn't bother me because I know human nature. At the same time, it's discouraging. Christians are supposed to have the Holy Spirit but we don't seem any different than anyone else. Look at these pastors committing crimes. If there's one thing I pray, I pray to represent Christ as well as I can when interacting with people around me. But it's just hard to spread the joy in my faith when I don't have it myself.

  6. The church is too full of politics, passive aggressiveness, gossip, arrogance, and run like a business. Everyone was so focused on getting rid of sex, drugs, and rocknroll. That you down played more soul rotting sins. Like gossip, pride, lies, character destruction, and hypocrisy. Ei rules for thee not for me.

  7. The plummeting numbers of young people leaving the Faith is happening because young people are not fearful like their parents!
    Catholics run to Church on Sundays to sit in the pew to watch the priest do everything because they fear "going to Hell."
    Young people realize that God is not the vindictive God the church portrays. Hell, the devils, and Purgatory are figments of imagination.
    Jesus calls us not to attend Mass, but to help the poor, the needy and the disenfranchised!
    He hated the Pharisees attitude about ceremony being more important than people.

  8. I like this message!! Having functional families will build sustainable church communities. It's disheartening how many pastors have hurting marriages. Take a look at the Amish, most of their young folks stay in the Amish community, and there is no divorce among the Amish. If someone leaves the Amish they normally join some other church community. The practices of most American churches are unsustainable. I keep wondering why not more people are recognizing this and asking what are we doing wrong? Most people I talk to respond by saying that we are in a time of falling away, and no one wants to hear the gospel message. I'm saying we need to look in the mirror and ask ourselves why? I'm saying if I can't get along with my own spouse, the Mother of my own children, (or Father) what a horrible example. If sins like this exist in our church community we only have words and no testimony.
    Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:13-16 to be the light and salt of the earth. In verse 16 ..Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
    Why is it that so many churches and Christian people disobey Jesus teachings, the very one they profess as Savior. Let our church communities collectively together once again be a light and salt, and in truth loving Jesus and His Words!! This is called sustainable Christianity. Maybe we could learn a few things from the Amish!! 😉

  9. Pure nonsense, the church is to dived. And out of touch, the church can not win, a woman being beat by his wife shouldn't stay with him. Plus you have to many false saints in your church.

  10. Maybe if the church spent money feeding and clothing people and benefiting the community they would have butts in seats. Instead the spend their money lecturing teens about not having sex or spending money defending child abusing priests and pastors.

  11. Hello, I wanted to respond to people whose thoughts were confused when they read the comments. . The First Council of Nicaea was convened in Turkey by Roman Emperor Constantine I in 325 AD in order to clarify some issues discussed within Christianity. I

    I live in the Iznik region. My ethnicity is Anatolian Celtic and I took compulsory Islamic courses in primary and high school. I also graduated from the history department. I would like to point out that Christianity, Judaism and Islam are the Middle Eastern tales told to us today.

  12. False from the start it's not just young people leaving the church it's people who's waking up to the lies there so called pastor's are telling them or a spinless pastor who only preaches on love love love and don't preach the whole Bible!! So people who are waking up good for you!!

  13. unfortunately this information is incorrect. People are leaving because they are not seeing what they were promised- Success, prosperity, health and less problem in their daily life. They were given a fake Gospel that scripture never promised.

    The second group are those that actually stopped going because they also received a false Gospel as well, They can not measure up the expected religious holy life required to remain saved and in good standing in church. Due to this, they feel like hypocrite and living a lie, So they just stop going.

    The third group are those the read scripture and realized the the church system is not what is reflected in scripture and that attending church is not a requirement to be saved nor Christian. This group opted for the home church gathering instead where real fellowship is found.

    Had the forst two groups learned what the third group knew, they would have never stopped following Jesus nor stop being Christians because they would have learned that being a saved Christian has nothing to do with church membership, tithing and church attendance.

  14. I call BS on this. You’re gaslighting the audience. IMO The institution of “Church or Organized Religion “ is one of greed , control and the abuse of women and children. Go ahead and read all the abuse suffered by the children in the Catholic Church by Pedophile Priests and the cover up by the Vatican. Let’s look now at the SBC and all the abuse and convicted pastors , again covered up by the Church Elders . How about the Extreme Evangelical Movement in the Church ( MAGA) People are not leaving “Faith “ in a higher ,but the corrupt institutions called “Church” and its fake prophets . #ChildrenAreNotSafeInChurch Call it what it is 🤬🤬🤬

  15. It seems that society has shifted its norms from being dedicated and disciplined for the well being of family to a culture of pursuing fun and happiness at any costs. Marriage is when your childishness begins to die but they are still many young people above 20 who want to live like teenagers.

  16. Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. 🕯️Thank you. Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. 🤍

  17. =====Naming the Precious Thing in Type=====

    Genesis 1 reports only five names that God (or 'spaceman'?) gives to things. These things easily seem to be the three of the Earth's own basic subsystems of its water cycle:

    1. the thermally regulative day/night cycle ('day' and 'night', v. 5);

    2. the thermally regulative atmosphere ('shamayim', v. 8);

    3. the land/sea surface thermal exchange system ('earth' and 'seas', v.10).

    These three (or five) identifies the most important thing about the physical Earth, in terms of physical dynamics in relation its wealth of liquid water, in face of Sunlight. These three subsystems are all about how all that water is refreshed for plant and animal life. …not just a large amount of water.

    So it seems God names the central system which supports life. The account does NOT report that He names light, nor gravity, nor matter, nor even water. He names the water cycle.

    He builds' her of five things. And these five are three things, the Earth's own feminine dynamics with regard to that light and that water.

    =====Self-identity in Numbers=====

    It seems no coincidence that 5 is the number of identity in the Fibonacci sequence: cardinal and ordinal 5, as follows.

    This is the one sequence of numbers that is produced by direct relational pairing (the so-called Fibonacci sequence). This is because 0 has no identity apart from positive 1. This is why this sequence begins with an “unlike pair” “0, 1” of mathematical identities, and that the second of which is the Prime Positive Mathematical Identity (1), rather than with a lone identity

    …because this pair suggests the basis for producing the sequence:

    0 + 1 = 1 =…

    …Fibonacci Cardinal “0, 1, 1”

    Thus:

    NFS ORD-CD 1: “0, 1” =
    NFS ORD2: 0+1 = 1 =
    FS CD2: “0, 1, 1” =
    NFS ORD3: 1+1=2 =
    NFS CD3: “0, 1, 1, 2” =
    NFS ORD4: 1+2=3 =
    NFS CD4: “0, 1, 1, 2, 3” =
    NFS ORD5: 2+3=5 =
    NFS CD5: “0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5”

    (NFS ORD5: 2+3=5 = NFS CD5: “0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5”)

    =====Finding the Precious Thing=====

    1. the general cosmos and its special Earth (Genesis 1:1)

    2. The Earth and its special… abiding maximal abundance of open liquid water (v. 2)

    3. that water and its special…water cycle (v. 3-10)

    4. The water cycle and and its special…biological beneficiaries (vs. 11-12)

    5. biology its special….animal biology (plant/animal/mineral = animal) (vs. 20-25)

    6. Animals and their special…humans (vs. 26-28)

    7. The general human and the special…woman (Genesis 2:7-25).

  18. I grew up in a very loving baby-boomer Christian family. Of five sons, all of us accepted Jesus, all of us were baptized, three of us went to seminary, one wrote worship music, another was a canon to the ordinary. Today, none of these sons attended church and have no desire to. Just saying.

  19. 'The Great Apostasy refers to a significant falling away from the Christian faith, often seen as a precursor to the rise of the Antichrist. This concept is rooted in several biblical passages, particularly in the New Testament.

    Key Points about the Great Apostasy:

    Biblical References:

    2 Thessalonians 2:3: The Apostle Paul mentions that the day of the Lord will not come until the rebellion (apostasy) occurs and the “man of lawlessness” (often interpreted as the Antichrist) is revealed.

    Matthew 24:10-12: Jesus speaks of a time when many will fall away, betray, and hate one another, with false prophets leading many astray.

    Nature of the Apostasy:

    It involves a widespread abandonment of the faith by those who once professed to be Christians.

    This falling away is not just a general decline in belief but a significant and noticeable departure from core Christian doctrines and practices.

    Timing and Significance:

    The Great Apostasy is seen as an end-times event that occurs just before the return of Christ and the full revelation of the Antichrist.

    It serves as a trigger for the final events leading up to the Second Coming of Christ.

    The Rise of the Antichrist:

    The Antichrist is expected to appear after this period of apostasy, deceiving many and establishing a period of tribulation.

    His reign is often associated with making a peace treaty with Israel, which he later breaks, leading to severe persecution.' [AI]
