Spurgeon's teaching of 1866 was trying to help people understand that some who were in Desperate situations should not abandon their faith in God
Today in the US some people are put in Desperate situations due to health problems and it is difficult even for those countries that are now on National Health Care Systems.
But today's situation is possibly even more difficult because of population growth worldwide and the politics that is being considered and how to deal with this what's possibly no real good answers in view for anyone
Politicians often make lots of promises but how to deliver is another matter which is not in their hands; covid-19 was a great disruptor and nobody knows what the next worldwide crisis will be regarding health
The first and only place to turn for the redeemed of Christ: "Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need" [Heb 4v16]

Please pray for my son Zach. He is 19 years old, and Satan has infected his mind with the woke doctrine. But God ! Zach said he wanted to read the Bible for historical reasons. I'll take it !!! I will see him in 4 weeks and I'm praying that we can go Bible shopping together.

This Verse; It is because EVERYONE but Yeshua/Jesus was, is, will be "wicked," in their very nature as children of disobedience, *therefore, another Mediator- (ONLY God is good)- was, is, will always be needed before The Father- a High Priest Forever!
This verse is for first knowing no man or woman or child has righteousness and as such no offerings they bring will ever satisfy- not one!
God does accept anyone by Faith and He therefore accounts that Blind Trusting Him- Faith– as Righteousness; for the free imparting of it to those He did foreknow; those who would trust Him as Abraham did- like little children- by Faith- He accepts them.
Their offerings He accepts- their offerings are often the substance of their Faith- NOT that they may boast of themselves (lest they die)- but in these offerings wherein the substance of their Faith is found- is the free Gift of what was sought- where- in the earnest seeking- and found freely in the waiting thereof- that which is placed upon the Altar- their All- their Best of what they wanted from Him- often the one signatory "thing" (thing so crude a word) of His manifest Love, Hope, and Faith- looking towards or backwards to Messiah- hoping and looking rather to the Life in Him- to come to Him and for all that He can do- NOTHING is impossible with Him- NOTHING- that substance of everything hoped for is placed up in Him as good as dead and as good as alive again!!
Able- trusted God to replace the finest Lamb in his heards from year to year- even though he slay it.
Noah- trusted God blindly building the Ark to leave the Old World for a new one- one to be made- as yet- which will also be free of the violent and immoral- for a brief time and foretaste- again- and only a foretaste- of The Eternal which Enoch possessed already- himself also by Faith and trusting God despite the hopelessness around him- because God just took him- and he could not be found anymore.
Abraham- He trusted God for a son from the free woman- his wife Sarah- no matter the years and years of the wait- AND for God to give his Life back again EVEN if He slay Him.
For Moses- He trusted God leaving a life as a son of Pharoah, to wander the wilderness until whenever God's timing be- even if he must sleep in the grave or not first- the wait is so long almost or was- He trusted God.
King David's Heart ❤ can be seen in Psalms 27, "My heart has heard you say, 'Come and talk with me Oh My People,' and Lord, my heart responds, 'Here I am, I am coming Lord.'" (This is Firstly Jesus!) & also see Psalm 51, "utter truthfulness and sincerity of the heart is what you desire," "I was a sinner before birth," "Not bulls on the Altar, but a broken spirit, and contrite heart you desire Lord." ❤
Esther- She trusted God to give Her Life back- to receive her with Life and help her- even if she die- for the salvation of the Commonwealth of Israel. A type of "Red Heifer."
For us now, awaiting Christ Jesus to return in the Clouds- we who await on God- Trusting even if we die first- We TRUST for Him to carry us through the veil of Death safely- gathering us in the skies with Him forever as He did for Enoch and no less Elijah!!
"Do not fear he who gives the first death," and later- elsewhere, "they did not love their lives, but laid them down for Him." ❤
And provisionally, just look how George Mueller and his wife, they trusted God, taking in the children's needs to address before possesing the bread or clothing or bedding for them all yet!! And fearing not Mr Dickens either- but handing him the entire keys to the whole grounds- did they possess back in London one of their greatest defenders and advocates.
But first we must all accept we are wicked sinners- utterly depraved and without hope. So Jesus came. He nailed our sins to His Cross, imparted His Righteousness- as He himself said- "Only God is good," and He overcame the Grave- Light out of Darkness!
God is so kind to the Wicked- All of us are wicked- all- And God is so very kind and patient to and with us- How AMAZING it is!!
