I think you should clarify that when Jesus forgave the Pharisees on the cross, he forgave their actions, but their sins were not forgiven because they did not ask for their sins to be forgiven, even to the point, they didn't even believe they were sinners ..so He even said you will die in your sins so there is a difference a distinction

He forgave the soldiers. The pharisees knew what they were doing. Every time forgiveness is mentioned it requires a persons repentance.
They were not automatically forgiven they had to repent… Jesus gave them the ability to be forgiven…
