TOPIC: THE MIRACLE OF UNDERSTANDING (THE DOMINION POWER OF UNDERSTANDING / A DESPERATE CRY FOR LIGHT)
Bible References: Luke 24:45; Job 32:8; Psalm 119:144.
God is a planter and His seeds are men, not just His Word. The soil is where your assignment is and the harvest He reaps from your life is Glory (Isaiah 61:3).
WHY DO YOU DO ALL THESE (PRAYER, FASTING, CHURCH) FOR JESUS?
1. Because I love Jesus. 2. Because I truly desire to live a victorious Christian life. 3. Because I truly desire that my life will bring Him glory.
THREE THINGS THAT HAPPEN WHEN TRANSITING SEASONS
1. Deeper revelation of God (2 Peter 1:2). 2. Increases the anointing. 3. Enlarges your sphere of dominion/influence.
We are therefore required to be faithful stewards (1 Corinthians 4:2).
OUR RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY
1. Trust the Word of God. 2. Trust His vessels as privileged stewards of His Grace.
MESSAGE STARTS
One of the miracles a man of God can bring to the members is the miracle of understanding (Jeremiah 3:15).
Jesus added the recovery of sight in the layer of Isaiah's messianic prophecy (Isaiah 61:1–2; Luke 4:18).
God gave the assignment of opening the eyes of the Gentiles to Paul after his encounter on the road to Damascus (Acts 26:13–18; Ephesians 3:1–3, 9).
Many believers still live frustrated and defeated lives. If you learn God through their lens of experiences, you will hate God (Colossians 1:3).
The currency of dominion and victory in the Kingdom is LIGHT (Isaiah 60:1).
LIGHT (John 1:5, 9)
1. If it is light, it must shine.
2. There are false lights (bodies of resemblance but upon receiving and engaging them, does not produce results).
LIGHT REFERS TO THESE THINGS ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE
1. Awareness/Consciousness (to be awakened to a reality) — Matthew 4:16.
2. The knowledge of the truth.
3. Wisdom and understanding.
Knowing how to engage and apply knowledge so that it delivers profit.
4. Unique and divinely revealed strategy for the execution of your assignment/prophecy (Joshua 6:4–5; Proverbs 20:5).
5. Experience of liberty, deliverance and freedom.
6. Salvation through Jesus Christ (John 8:12; Psalm 27:1).
Freedom from the legal hold of sin, Satan and eternal damnation.
HOW TO ACCESS LIGHT
1. The consistent study of Scripture (Luke 4:17; Revelation 5:12).
2. Through the power of corporate fellowship (Micah 4:2; Psalm 122:1; Hebrews 10:25).
3. The power of structured mentorship (Isaiah 28:10).
4. As we give ourselves to service (2 Kings 3:11).
No matter how great you are, your greatness is measured in service.
Service in the house of God is the quickest way to test what you have learnt.
5. An encounter with the Spirit of revelation (John 16:12–13; 1 Corinthians 2:12; Ephesians 1:15–19).
The ministry of the Holy Spirit as far as bringing understanding cannot be under-emphasized.
The Holy Spirit has the assignment of giving you light from Scripture.
THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE SPIRIT OF REVELATION
1. Connects you to have a thorough comprehension of God's eternal plan (the revelation of Jesus).
2. To draw out lessons and principles from Scripture that will help you walk in victory (Romans 15:4).
3. Inspires in your mind ideas, inspired thoughts, quickened information that translates into witty inventions, supernatural solutions and results.
4. Activates the prophetic dimension within every believer.
