The Jonathan Edwards Study Bible is one of the most interesting new study Bibles I’ve seen in a while. Published by Thomas …

  1. The graphic design and layout is a little too cluttered for my taste, but clearly thoughtfully done. Personally, I am hoping to grab this in Logos and be able to tack the notes to any translation I am reading.

  2. The layout kinda reminds me a bit of the MacArthur Study Bible, which is one of the only two study bibles I own for many years (The ESV study Bible being the other one). Maybe it's time for me to get another one and that might be the best choice.

  3. I just discovered you and Becca are originally from Omaha! I grew up mostly in Illinois, but I relocated to Omaha in 2000 and married a wonderful guy from a small town and live there now. I love Nebraska. I used to go to Christ Community Church over by Westroads when I first moved here. Go Huskers! I think you guys are awesome. I knew I liked you for a reason! JK!!! ❀

  4. love the vid, but am I the only one who saw and was bothered by the crumpled pages when he opened it? lol sorry I love my bibles and books so I saw that and was yelling at my tv to fix it hahaha

  5. Great review about a great theologian that I've enjoyed since discovering him in college and then taking an elective on him in seminary.

I am definitely ordering a copy when I return home from a week serving at Voice of the Martyrs in Oklahoma with a group from my church.

One observation: you didn't seem to address the binding specifications and your thoughts on each option–are they all definitely paste-down as I think others have mentioned and do you think the leather edition will be durable and worth is price point?

  6. Hello Tim I had a question about the daily scripture guidebook. Back when you were starting off the year I couldn’t afford it since I’m a teen. Now I can and my question is, can I start using it now or is it like a January 1st-December 31st book? Also I love the videos πŸ™‚

  7. This bible just arrived today. To say I am blown away is an understatement! It is exquisite! I am a fan of Thomas Nelson bibles – I think they publish some of the best quality bibles outside of the premium market. The leather & the raised spine hubs, and generously LONG satin ribbons really give it a quality feel. The red letter is the perfect shade. This bible is PACKED with rich features. The tree/nature theme drawings are stunning. The teal accents just pop off the page. I have a substantial bible collection, so I can be picky when adding new bibles. This is a must have.

  8. Looking forward to receive my copy which is being sent from Amazon US since it is not yet availble for purchase in the country I reside which is Brazil. Maybe, God willing, Thomas Nelson decides in the future to produce a Portuguese translation.

  9. I wish i could see what the hardcover looks like without the cover. I Like hardcover books but I generally take the covers off so as not to destroy it. I can't find a picture anywhere of the naked hardback. The bible is on my wishlist for sure !
