TOPIC: BOUNDED BY SIN

SCRIPTURE: Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Psalm 107:17

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you taste the corruption of sin, you don’t only lose your dominion, you come under bondage and affliction.

The Book of Proverbs 30:30 makes it clear that the lion is the strongest among beasts, and it does not turn away from any other animal. The lion is a symbol of authority and dominion. The righteous are likened to the lion.

Proverbs 28:1 says, The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

So, the lion dominates in the wild because of its strength and courage.

One characteristic of the lion is that it does not taste corruption. It doesn't eat what is rotten, and that is why it maintains dominion over other animals.

Similarly, the eagle dominates all other birds in the air. And the reason: it does not tolerate corruption. The lion and the eagle dominate their respective domains because they do not allow themselves to be tainted by corruption. They are not under the bondage of any animal.

Beloved, corruption brings people under bondage. Sin is one of the root causes of sickness. Iniquity puts people under oppression. Transgressions bring afflictions.

Psalm 107:17 says, Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

When you taste the corruption of sin, you not only lose your dominion, but you also come under bondage and affliction.

Today, I take authority over every form of bondage in your life that is a direct or indirect result of iniquity. They are broken now, in Jesus' Name! I break every addiction to sin and corruption in your life, in Jesus' Name!

Remember this: Transgressions bring afflictions.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Prayerfully trust God to live an upright life.

2. Refuse to be under any form of bondage.

PRAYER:

Father, I decree by the Power of the Blood of Jesus that every sinful bondage and oppression over my life is broken today. I receive the grace to live in righteousness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
