Watched on September 1, 2025…was riveted to screen awaiting the outcome. We all need to pursue God's calling…it may be a bumpy road but He has a plan and a purpose for the journey.
If Jesus wanted female priests, His Mother would have been the first. We Catholics follow Christ. You can serve the church in many ways. There were 12 Apostles. No women.
Men made religion in order to compete with natural female intuitive powers. To say God has no gender in theory but then that women cant be xyz in the church because it's law? Doesn't make sense.
The premise of this law suit is ridiculous and could never make it into an American court. The government of the U.S. under the Constitution cannot dictate religious law. As a matter of fact religious law is explicitly exempt from discrimination law. As for the Mormons changing their religious doctrine of polygamy. That was their choice, they were not forced to do it. Only the U.S. Congress (made up of more than 98% main stream Christians) indicated they would not vote to admit the federal territory of Utah to become a state unless the Mormon church changed their doctrine and banned polygamy, which they eventually did.
Women have the right to be priests as well, we all know the catholic church teaching have nothing to do with what Jesus really taught us. Religion is dividing us . I believe in Jesus, not in religion and stupid man-made rules
It is not possible for a woman to sue the Catholic Church to become a priest, and no such lawsuit has ever succeeded. The church's policy on an all-male priesthood is an internal, doctrinal matter protected by the First Amendment's "ministerial exception," which prevents the government from interfering in a religious institution's internal affairs, including its employment decisions regarding clergy. Watching this movie on September 02, 2025. I believe in God's grace. I'm not a Catholic. This movie is amazing! Ally has a fire in her heart to be a priest, but the catholic religion forbade her to be.
