I've often wondered about the requirement that pastors to attend seminary. Our church justifies our pastors large salary because of their formal education which I'm sure IS expensive. I do agree that a pastor ought to have a minimum of biblical knowledge but requiring pastors to have years of schooling to be a pastor doesn't mean that they will have any real skill in guiding his or her congregation in their journey of faith as well as converting non believers.
