  1. One reason is that jesus could manage his disciples to go out and baptize disciples in his name. Matthew 28 nineteen through twenty Reason tw The baptism hate of the holy spirit is totally different than the physical baptism. If jesus didn't identify it as being different and then used metaphorically.

Just gentlemen.Unfortunately , just not understand what he's trying to communicate and bring question to doubt the teachings of jesus.

    metaphorically

  2. John 3:5 – Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 10:47-48 – Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

1 John 5:8 – And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

John 6:56 – He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

  3. There are not 2 baptisms. In the catholic and orthodox tradition there is one baptism that is spiritual and physical. Just as Christ has two nature's human and divine so He sanctifies using both the physical and spiritual. One baptism means that you only need to be baptized once so long as that baptism was done in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  4. BUT
    WE baptise in water
HE baptises in the Holy Spirit

    HE commanded US to
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, BAPTISING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
    Matthew 28 v 19-20

  5. Interesting. But I'd like to point out John 3:5 this verse is Jesus Himself speaking. Also the many times in Acts that people accepted the message then were baptized on water then the Apostles came and laid hands on them for Holy Spirit baptism (I can think of Acts 8- the story of Philip).

  6. Have quakers not read the rest of the Bible? Before ascending to Heaven Jesus commands his disciples "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit". Then we see the church Baptizing with water. We Baptize with water God Baptizes with His Spirit.
