  1. It just proves that 3 years after the revival people were still growing and still learning as we all are it sounds like to me Seymour was trying to reign in a lot of what he thought was wildfire you know I'm Pentecostal myself but I do believe that there has to be order in the church

I listened to one source on YouTube who said Seymour said tongues is a sign, but the primary sign a person is filled with God's Spirit is LOVE…and this is the quiet part that no one says out loud…but I do….From my years of study, the Bible affirms gifts, but not above or superior to LOVE.   3. Gracious Good Day. Very informative. You mentioned the Assemblies of God without mentioning C. H Mason and the Church of God in Christ. That was the Pentecostal Split. C. H. Mason from my understanding never repudiated William Seymour and the Apostolic Faith Mission. PEACE, Every Blessing be Yours and Those You Love, as well as those you struggle to love.

  4. I consider myself fundamental Baptist today but I was hardcore Pentecostal at one time. Paul said tonges are a sign to unbelieving Jews who would hear gentiles preaching the Gospel to Jews. Once I learned that, I was so over tongues.
