  1. Hey so, I don’t know if you have any say in the ads that run on here, but the one I just saw had Kevin Sorbo in it – I only saw the 5 seconds I was required to watch and that quickly he said something wildly transphobic. I just wanted to make sure y’all were aware.

  2. Janice’s story is so relatable – it’s hard not to think sometimes you’re on an island by yourself and her story is a reminder that that’s not true. I’m really excited about this docuseries. Thank you!

  3. I agree that many churches preach things that often are not actually incorporated into their practice. I do not necessarily agree on the issue of race being such a determining factor with speaker/pastor choice (maybe at Hillsong but not globally in the body of Christ).
It always saddens me when one or more denominations or ‘movements’ get so sidetracked with scandal or taken by the allure of fame or Greed that they end up leading so many away from Christ. The pain and hurt caused by the poor and false teaching, especially over a lengthy period of time, that the tension and apprehension of how long it may take to sort through the genuine from the counterfeit is too overwhelming and then they opt to hit the eject button altogether and choose never to look back.

The issue is that Satan wants us to do just that. To say “this is all too much and now I can’t trust anyone so I’m just gonna stay out of religion as a whole so I never get hurt again…”. Meanwhile, this is actually the most destructive and hurtful thing we can do to ourselves and our destiny is to choose not to sort through the only thing that is actually life-giving and soul-saving. If there’s one thing in our life that is worth working through, it would be this very thing.

“What I’m getting at, friends, is that you should simply keep on doing what you’ve done from the beginning. When I was living among you, you lived in responsive obedience. Now that I’m separated from you, keep it up. Better yet, redouble your efforts. Be energetic in your life of salvation, reverent and sensitive before God. That energy is God’s energy, an energy deep within you, God himself willing and working at what will give him the most pleasure.”
