I will never support divorce but separation I will support 100% especially when the life is at stake, for the healing of the victim's soul . If someone die in such state I don't think they will make it to heaven because that person will be full of bitterness, raging anger and unforgiveness due to the pain and torture. Church of God, let's stop defending our name ,what will people say. Rather, let's begin to fight for the trap's soul. Based on my understanding of Christianity, we can not classify two people that are unequally yoked to be a Christian. If there is violence in a home, then it is either both or one of them is not a Christian but mere church goer. Christians dont leave a violent life but a Christ like life. I think what a movie like this should base attention on is how we can lay a solid Christianity foundation for our youth that are attracted to opposite sex for the wrong reason and not because they are truely Children of God.

In the NT, Jesus says if a man divorces his wife (and vice versa) on the basis of infidelity have not sinned. Paul says if an unbelieving spouse decides to leave the marriage, he can leave. But church says divorce is not an option. Please, are you more righteous than Jesus and His Word???
It's quite unfortunate that some people seem to rate domestic violence as the only marriage issue that should require separation. But, I want to ask, this separation sef, where is it in the Bible that a woman should separate from her husband if he beats her?? Where e dey?? No where! It's not a biblical principal but it's wisdom. To me, separation na lowkey divorce, na only paper dey never sign. Simple! Some people are going through hell and suffering all forms of abuse in their marriages because they made mistakes and they have to die there ba??? Do you think that God is happy about it?? How do they ensure that the violent or cheating spouse gets therapy, healing and other things s/he needs first before allowing the marriage to continue?? We've not forgotten the story of Min Osinachi, the singer that died about 2 years ago. Was it God's will?? Even if she chose a wrong spouse, was it that there was nothing God could do to anyone that marries wrongly?? I have a lot to say. I pray God will help those bleeding spouses. I pray the Lord directs the singles to choose right. Amen.
This was a much needed film my only opinion is towards the end when our dear sister was speaking from her heart about the abuse she was taking, when she finished speaking the Righteous people should have gotten up and put their arms around her and her daughter especially the women. Too often we sit and listen as if it's a movie we are watching without giving any real physical reaction. Stop 🛑 ! I say and not only support with your presence but with your words and actions. The Bible says I did not give you a Spirit of Fear but of Power and of Love and of and a Sound Mind " we are not to be afraid or ashamed to show real support! life is Not a movie it is Real ! Truth. A woman who has been beaten continually will eventually fight back so there has to be a separation before someone gets killed. The church needs to wake up and help victims of domestic violence and stop telling them to stay in an abusive marraige. If you want to pray about it, separate first to stop the abuse so you can have peace to hear from God. Too many women are dying prematurely at the hands of their husbands and this has to stop. God freed me from an abusive marraige and He wants to free other women who are being abused also.
Many people in the church today were never born again or have backslidden. They lie, steal, keep malice, and some even sometimes fornicate, yet they'll all claim to be born again children of God. A child of God does not fight, does not entertain anger that leads to sin. A child of God is patient and has self control and long suffering. A child of God is also always constantly working hard to prevent things that angers his/her partner from happening.
Let every couple go back to Calvary both individually and as a couple. Christian marriage is highly enjoyable. I know submission is hard for us women, any woman that chose the way of, even if it's 70%, submission, respect, prayer and love would enjoy her marriage. Let couples should continuously and deliberately read books on marriage and also attend couples programs that Will help their knowledge.
And then we should stop dragging the church into all this mess, don't force the church to start compromising. The bible stands!

This is the problem. The parents and even the church leader wants her to stay in the marriage just to save face and continue to get beatings. It was not okay! Yes, God can change things. However the fact that he beats her is ungodly. Husband love your wife . This is where discernment and wisdom comes in.

It is so wrong to tell a woman to stay in a home where she is unsafe. That is not the way to fix the issue.
