1. God Is the Creator and King: Genesis 1:1 reveals God as the Creator. He does not depend on existing materials to bring His purposes into existence. 2. The Kingdom Is About Godโs Government : the Kingdom is the reign, rulership, and agenda of God. (Colossians 1:15-18) โข He is the image of the invisible God. โข All things were created by Him and for Him. โข He is before all things. โข By Him all things consist. The believer must not lose sight of the Kingdom by making business, career, government, or other earthly pursuits the ultimate goal. We are positioned in different spheres of society so that Christ can become preeminent through our lives. 3. The Threefold Purpose of Spiritual Development. God uses the process of spiritual development to accomplish three things in the believer: (a) Awakening: the believer is awakened to God's realm and comes to know God as a personal reality, not merely as a theological subject. (b) Activation: God activates the potentials He has placed within the believer, including faith, wisdom, and favour. (c) Government: God establishes divine order within the believer, bringing the soul under His government and preparing the believer to carry the weight of the Kingdom. 4. The Five Processes of Kingdom Development (a) Regeneration: God brings a transformation of the believerโs nature, implanting His life and nature within the believer. (b) Washing: The Word and the dealings of the Spirit cleanse the believer from the residues of the old life and ungodly patterns. (Ephesians 5:25-26) (c) Renewal: God renews the mind by replacing old thought patterns with new values and patterns that agree with His will. (Romans 12:2) (d) Mortification: Through the Spirit, the believer puts to death the tendencies and desires of the fallen nature. (Romans 8:13) (e) Glorification: The believer continues to mature until he comes into the full stature and expression of the Kingdom. 5. The Mandate of the Believer Spiritual growth is not merely about becoming a better Christian. It is about growing into the capacity to exercise Kingdom authority and influence. God desires to move believers from merely being members to becoming governors and stewards who can represent His government in the territories where He has placed them. 6. The Goal of Kingdom Development: The ultimate goal is that Christ becomes preeminent through the believer, while the believer is developed into a vessel capable of carrying Kingdom influence, authority, and responsibility.
