Catch yourself when you are remembering the past and say to yourself:Forget it!!! Then forget it and go do something productive.
Forget it because Jesus has cleansed you from your past sins if you have confessed. “If we confess your sins, God is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

I read this once: If it doesn’t matter in 5 years don’t spend more than 5 minutes crying/whining about it.

To forget your past is really to look into God’s promises. He will never leave nor forsake you, so you are never truly left in your past unless you choose to be.
