  1. Notes: SPIRITUAL BIRTH – DR. AROME OSAYI

    Introduction
    Theme:
The central theme of this teaching is the urgent necessity for believers to understand and operate in the spiritual realm. Dr Arome Osayi challenges the listener to move beyond mere intellectual or theological Christianity into a living, functional relationship with the Holy Spirit that enables discernment, spiritual authority, and effective kingdom living.

    Key Scriptures:

    1 Corinthians 12:1-7

    Acts 8:9-11

    John 3:1-8

    Romans 5:10

    Matthew 7:21

    Isaiah 60–61

    Revelation 4:1

    Purpose:
To awaken believers to the reality of the spiritual realm, confront ignorance regarding spiritual matters, and highlight the necessity of spiritual sensitivity in walking with God, resisting demonic influence, and fulfilling divine purpose.

    Main Teachings
    1. The Call to Spiritual Awareness
1 Corinthians 12:1 – “Concerning spiritual, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.”

Paul emphasises that ignorance of the spiritual realm leads to victimhood.

Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8 is used as an example of how one man, with spiritual understanding (albeit demonic), could manipulate an entire city.

Christians are already at a disadvantage if they remain spiritually naïve.

    2. The Nature of the Spiritual Realm
“Spiritual” refers not merely to gifts but a realm of existence governed by spirit beings.

Just as natural senses help us interact with the physical world, spiritual senses are needed to interact with the spiritual world.

Spirits (Holy or demonic) create realities around them – what manifests in a place depends on which spirit is present.

    3. The Believer’s Interaction with Spiritual Realms
Believers must operate with awareness that life is influenced by unseen forces.

Ignorance allows demonic manipulation to continue unchecked.

Examples include sickness caused by witchcraft, unexplained afflictions, and destiny distortions.

    4. The Foundation of the Supernatural in Christ
The Holy Spirit’s ministry is built upon the legal foundation of Christ’s finished work (Romans 5:10).

No genuine manifestation of the Holy Spirit will contradict Christ or His work.

Demonic manifestations often curse Christ or reject His Lordship.

    5. Threefold Umpires in the Spiritual Realm (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)
Holy Spirit – Dispenser of gifts.

Jesus Christ – Giver of ministries (callings).

God the Father – Overseer of operations, particularly in regions or territories.

    6. Entry into the Spiritual through Desire
    1 Corinthians 14:1 – “Desire spiritual.”

Spiritual encounters don’t happen automatically; they require pursuit and desire.

The Holy Spirit is the boundary and limit of what spiritual manifestations a believer should experience.

    7. Born of the Spirit – John 3
Spiritual birth activates spiritual senses (John 3:3).

Jesus corrects Nicodemus’s misunderstanding of being “born again” by explaining it as being born of the Spirit.

Three dimensions in spiritual growth: birth, education, and maturity.

    8. Seeing vs Entering the Kingdom (John 3:5)
Seeing the Kingdom = perceiving spiritual realities.

Entering the Kingdom = coming under divine government and authority.

Not all born-again believers enter the Kingdom (Matthew 7:21–23).

    9. Purpose of the Gifts
Gifts are "spices" – not the foundation of ministry.

The Word is the “food”; gifts only aid in message validation.

A minister without a message from God but with gifts is dangerous.

    10. Spiritual Warfare and Perception
Spiritual warfare is impossible without spiritual perception.

Miracles, prophetic insight, and discernment require Holy Spirit activation.

Many suffer under curses and afflictions simply due to lack of spiritual sensitivity.

    11. Ministry by the Holy Spirit
Those truly called will be taught by God.

Jesus operated under both the Word and the Spirit – this is the biblical balance.

Isaiah 60 (Word) and Isaiah 61 (Spirit) illustrate the need for both to be present.

    12. Apostolic Recommissioning and Revival
Throughout the message, Dr Osayi leads moments of impartation, healing, prophecy, and commissioning.

Prophets, evangelists, and dreamers are identified and released.

He underlines that revival is not theoretical – it’s tangible, demonstrable, and spiritual.

    Illustrations and Examples
Simon the Sorcerer: Bewitched an entire city due to spiritual knowledge.

Medical Doctor’s Patient: A case where traditional medicine failed, and the cause was spiritual affliction.

Witchcraft in Villages: Describes how demons are invoked using footprints in marketplaces.

A Lady’s Bleeding from a Handshake: Demonstrates how spiritual influence can enter physically undetected.

Personal Experiences: In the Mall of America, Dr Osayi discerns demonic presence among people.

Practical Healing and Deliverance Sessions: Live miracles, prophetic words, and spiritual encounters confirming the message.

    Practical Applications
    Pursue Spiritual Knowledge:

Read, meditate, and obey scriptures that open your spiritual understanding.

Ask God for the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17).

    Desire and Cultivate Spiritual Senses:

Spend time in prayer, fasting, and worship to activate your spiritual faculties.

Journal dreams, visions, and impressions from God to grow in discernment.

    Align with God’s Government:

Don’t stop at salvation – yield to the Lordship of Christ in every area.

Obey God’s voice even when it contradicts your feelings or logic.

    Guard Against Deception:

Avoid spiritual practices that are not Holy Spirit-led.

Test all spirits (1 John 4:1) and ground every encounter in the Word of God.

    Accept and Use Your Calling:

Don’t run from your ministry; seek mentorship and training.

Allow God to anoint and equip you, then walk in obedience.

    Key Takeaways
Ignorance of spiritual realities makes believers vulnerable to demonic manipulation.

Spiritual things are only made manifest in the presence of spirit beings.

The Holy Spirit is the believer’s only safe guide into the spiritual realm.

Gifts are not foundational; the Word of God is.

True maturity is measured by your alignment with the will of God.

Salvation is not an end, but an entrance into a new Kingdom life.

Perception must lead to obedience – this is how you “enter” the Kingdom.

Revival and apostolic reawakening come through practical engagement with the Holy Spirit.

    Conclusion
Dr Arome Osayi’s message, Concerning Spiritual, is a prophetic and apostolic call to maturity, awareness, and engagement in the spiritual realities of the Kingdom of God. He warns that today's Church cannot afford to be unaware of spiritual things and must submit to the Holy Spirit’s governance. This message is not merely theological—it is experiential, evidenced by live manifestations, miracles, and prophetic activation.

Let this teaching challenge and equip you to desire the spiritual, to activate your senses, and to enter the Kingdom of Heaven not just in word, but in reality and power.
